Reporting live, sorry.
Any way I can watch this game sans paying for it?
I found that All-Star Games in any sport to be boring, plus all the Dodgers will be out of the game by the 5th inning.
Here's my open call to today's baseball player:
DON'T GET A BOO-BOO ON YOUR KNEE, THEY MIGHT HAVE TO PUT YOU ON THE DL FOR A FEW GAMES, WHAT A JOKE.
Okay yeah so you can hit home runs, but THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU A MAN. You were MOST LIKELY RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER WHO ALSO BECAME YOUR FATHER FIGURE and THAT is why you gotta have THE LATEST HAIRSTYLE, the BLING BLING SPARKLES ON YOUR EARS, AROUND YOUR NECK, AND OOOOH THOSE PRETTY NEON SHOES DON'T YOU DARE GET THEM DIRTY!!!!.. GOTTA PARADE AROUND IN THE LATEST NEON SHOES, SHOES AND MORE SHOES !!!! ISN'T THAT "WOMEN SH*T?"
Baseball has become a JOKE replete with MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACTS. It is more HOLLYWOOD than it is SPORTS.
And WHY does it take 3 or 4 ANNOUNCERS WHO CAN'T KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS during the broadcast ??? !!!!!!! This is "THE VIEW", not BASEBALL!!!!
BAN jewelry on the field and force every player on each team to strict standards on shoes..
LASTLY, GET RID OF THESE 'CHATTY CATHY' ANNOUNCERS AND BRING BACK VIN SCULLY. We DON'T NEED 4 ANNOUNCERS TO CALL ONE BASEBALL GAME.
96th MLB All Star Game thread. Don’t even know who is playing.
10th inning and a man mysteriously appears on 2nd base.
That's not a rule change, that's an entirely different game.
What was that Ray Charles performance just now? Was it a vid? It’s kind of freaking me and hubby out. Google is no help, so turning to you guys!
AL rulz. NL drulz.
This was the fifth MLB All Star Game played in Philadelphia.
The 11th ASG was hosted by the Philadelphia Athletics at Shibe Park in 1943, which was the first ASG played at night under lights. The AL won 5-3. Nine years later, the Phillies hosted the 19th ASG in 1952 (the 1945 ASG was cancelled due to war time travel restrictions) at Shibe Park in the only rain shortened ASG. Bobby Shantz of the Philadelphia Athletics struck out the side in the bottom of the 5th inning before the game was called due to rain. The NL won 3-2. During the bicentennial year of 1976, Philadelphia again hosted the 47th ASG at Veterans Stadium, and the NL won 7-1. The 67th ASG was also played at Veterans Stadium in 1996, and the NL won 6-0. Yesterday’s 96th ASG was the second win for the American League in Philly.
