Like Snow White, Supergirl featured an actress who couldn’t keep her mouth shut about politics and woke nonsense. Alienating half your potential audience is never a wise move.

There are a million theories about why Supergirl bombed at the box office including some Woke statements that Millie Alcock made. But if you look at the big picture, the trend is simply that Hollywood is dead. Millie Alcock could have gone on every interview and said how much she loved the USA and sang the Star-Spangled Banner while waiving American flags and the movie still would have bombed. Is the movie horrible? Yes. Is the script horrible? Yes. Was James Gunn the wrong person to be the architect of the DCU? Yes. Was Millie Alcock the wrong actress to be Supergirl? Perhaps. Are superhero movies a dead genre? Yes. Are Hollywood movies just too expensive to be profitable anymore? Yes. Is Hollywood out of touch? Yes. Have foreign markets like China, Korea and the UK built up their own movie industries to compete and put out good product? Yes. It all means that Hollywood is dying if not already dead. Supergirl is simply evidence of that.
Are the rainbows upset?
Actors don’t seem to realize they’re on the job while promoting their movie. They need to leave all their baggage and opinions at home and act their part. This is what separates progressions from hacks who lucked into a paycheck.
But not even that would compel me to see this movie. Not after what its director and star said in the lead-up to its release.
That's a shame, because I've heard Jason Momoa really does rock it as Lobo. He probably won't get a standalone film now.
It is not noted, but not until the movie is about 75% over is it reveled, that Super Girl is in fact Superman’s transvestite brother in drag.
