Men and women aren’t the same. We’re also not “equal.” There are things men are better at and things women are better at. One of those things is police work.
Does that mean there are no good female cops? Of course not. But it does mean there’s a dangerous pattern that’s been forming for a long time, where female officers are being overwhelmed by perps, running from crime scenes, and even killing innocent people in Keystone Cops-style situations.
But none of this is the least bit funny It’s actually alarming. And it’s time to ask the million-dollar question: Should we end the “lady cop” experiment?
This latest nightmare scenario comes out of Montreal, Quebec. It involves a female cop who appears to have accidentally shot and killed an innocent bystander who was running for his life to escape a mass shooter.
That’s the horrific hook of this grisly story, but there’s much more to uncover, especially the long-running debate over whether women are fit to serve as police officers.
Not The Bee:
The shooter was filmed running to the female cop’s position as she took cover elsewhere. Other officers in the area pinned him down and he was shot just a few moments later. You can watch more footage here and here, but viewer discretion is advised.
Police handcuffed the shooter’s body for good measure, as seen in another video from an apartment above the scene (I won’t show the video as it shows the dead officer’s face).
When some madman is mass shooting at innocent people, there’s no time for a sensitivity seminar, diversity panel, or a long conversation about feminism. In that moment, it’s all about chaos, fear, split-second decisions, and knowing that the cop on the scene will do their job and give everybody, except the bad guy, a fighting chance.
That’s why police departments have a responsibility to the public and their officers to be brutally honest about what this work requires and who is ready and equipped for the job. You need incredible physical strength, tactical calm, very quick judgment, intense courage under fire, and the ability to move toward danger when every instinct in your body is telling you to run like hell.
Now, those aren’t qualities that only belong to men. Yes, in some rare circumstances there are women who can meet that standard and men who can’t. But overall, that job description is suited for a male. And pretending gender differences aren’t real, or acting like every role must be “equally suited” to fit everybody, doesn’t make the public safer. It creates danger.
And placing women in these types of positions that they’re clearly not suited for is setting them up for failure and leaving the public in a vulnerable state.
And that brings us back to the horrifying mass shooting in Montreal, because it’s reignited this debate about “lady cops” after footage from the scene appears to show the female officer making a slew of catastrophic decisions while her partner and civilians were in immediate danger.
Her partner is hit, an innocent civilian is killed, and the shooter is still active. Instead of the scene becoming more controlled, it becomes more chaotic, thanks to the bumbling lady police officer.

As you can imagine, the public is horrified at what they’re seeing in the clip.
Despite what the video shows, it hasn’t been officially confirmed that the female officer killed the innocent civilian, but it does open up a wound that we’ve been talking about for a long time now: do women belong working as police officers?
We say no.
Women are fierce, protective, and will fight like hell for the people they love. But frontline police work, especially the kind that puts a cop in the middle of an active shooting, is a totally different beast. It takes a very specific kind of physical and emotional response to danger. Departments can’t just pretend those requirements disappear because they want to prove a point about feminism and “equality.”
Women deserve to be respected for who they are, not shoved into roles that don’t fit them. Because when the job is life or death, the only thing that matters is if the person wearing the badge can protect the people around them.

Now please explain how what happened to that officer was due to her being female.

The article is completely incoherent. I read it and have no idea what happened. Who? What? Why? Where? When?
This is not that hard to understand. The author goes out of his way to insist that some males are not suited for law enforcement work and that some females are. His point is that this type of scenario is more likely to unfold with a female officer than a male one. He’s indirectly saying that a betting person would rather have had two males in that situation than one male and one female. He’s suggesting that, when lives are at stake, it’s not the time to test the hypothesis that a woman will be as good as a man.
Because no male cop ever did something wrong.....
This isn’t about male cops. It’s about a female cop who failed when the chips were down. Period.
What does being female have to do with any of that?
Women police officers have consistently worse records than men in violent confrontations with criminals.
Very specifically, on a per-capita and per-incident basis, women show these differences from men:
The areas where women may do at least as well as men are investigations and interrogations.
An execution by definition can not be accidental.

I did watch it. I still don’t know who, what, why, where when.
Watch almost any police video of male and female cops engaged in fights with bad guys. Nearly always the male cops jump right into the fight while the female cops flitter around the edges never getting involved. The strong, hard charging female cops of hollywood are pure fiction and absurdly inacurrate. Likewise, if females are not suited for cop work, they are sure not suited for Infantry or other comabe arms military jobs. But rest assured that this female cop in Montreal will never be charged or penalized for her actions in that massively woke police department. Male cops with female partners know they are on their own when trouble comes.
Accidentally - or mistakenly?
There's an important difference!
I can "accidentally" swallow one of my father's nitroglycerine pills because they were in a bottle standing right where my aspirins normally stand.
But if I take one of his nitroglycerine pills because I stupidly think nitroglycerine helps against headaches, then that is a mistake (based upon ignorance).

I watched the video 3x on a large screen.
I also saw nothing qualifying the female cop critique, and I am no cheerleader for women in LEO roles on the street. Quite the contrary.
Then I caught a different report:
It seems to me that the 2 officers were the first responders and were poorly armed to meet a shooter with a high-powered rifle. Additionally, anyone can see the 2 police units. So, a fundamental question: Why didn’t they have partners? That would have made it 4-on-1 and the situation would likely have played out quite differently even if they all lacked rifles.
Once her partner was down, she was pinned and alone. There is no checking vitals under fire.
Based upon the video alone I’d call them both heroes for engaging the gunman to save lives.
But I’d like to know how many mooslims are on the police force in Montreal and how long it took other units to roll on scene. Ya know?

She pops that poutine-larded poor bastard without more than a hesitant peep over that white wall. After the glance she commits to the shot, drops down slightly, rotates right to bring her arm up to shooting stance, and drops him: pew pew.
Then she peeks around the corner just long enough to realize she's murdered a bystander who was this close to escaping, and simultaneously realizes 'here comes Shooter'.
Here's where she made yet another mistake, this kid had the long rifle slung like Rambo and had to step over or shimmy by the deceased Mr. Poutine, giving her a full 2 seconds for a no-miss center mass or head shot no more than 6 feet apart.
Instead, she runs down the sidewalk like a girl (not once thinking to use the VW or any of the cars as cover). Shooter gets off 4 straight, drops into stance to clumsily reload, and a sniper finally gets him from above, dropping the kill shot somewhere right clavicle.
