Where was all of this 'concern' when Brandon was in office, selling our gasoline reserves (!) and Ukraine/Russia heated up?

*Crickets Chirping*

From AI:

"Under President Biden, the average gasoline price has more than doubled, rising from $2.39 per gallon on his first day in office to over $5.00 per gallon by June 2022. This increase has been attributed to various factors, including his administration's energy policies and external events like the Russian invasion of Ukraine."

Biden didn’t promise no new wars or that he would lower gas prices

and

“We suck slightly less than the last guy” isn’t exactly an inspiring campaign slogan for the mid-terms.

Yeah, get on a bus that drops you 1/2 mile or more from your destination in 100-degree heat. Along with vermin, criminals and vomit/piss smells to entertain you on your ride to hell.

As you noted, Biden was worse. But here’s the problem. Biden’s foolishness was behind the scenes. There was nothing specific that the average person could point to.

With Trump it’s specific: Iran

Its true that the media ignored the massive jump in gas prices under Biden. But the cost of filling the average gas tank has gone up about $20 since the war and that does have an impact. Unlike Biden, Trump has a set of policies to develop US energy and get energy prices down and a very smart foreign policy to source oil from countries like Venezuela and to develop better relations with Saudi Arabia. But the longer the war drags on, the worse the impact on fuel prices and the economy will be. W e can’t minimize that just because Trump is in office.

I always believed one of the main reasons for high gas prices in California, i.e., $2 more/gallon than the national average - besides obvious tax revenue (highest in the country) - was to force people into using public transportation.

Which, in most California cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco is dirty, dangerous and unpredictable, as homeless ride the systems all day for free and bus drivers are assaulted.

No. Thanks.

Veo reports "73% said shared scooters and bikes are cheaper than driving when gas prices are high."

Not only that, scooters and bikes are cheaper when gas prices are LOW.

I can’t imagine a $1 per gallon increase cancels trips/vacations by car. What’s that amount to ?...maybe an extra $100 overall ? (unless its in California)

Only idiots are falling for this hyped bunk

Nope. Gotta get someplace so gotta go. No EV either. All anyone can do is whine about it. Or build your own backyard refinery. 🤔😂👍

If Dims were in control you would have Mexifornia gas prices where they shut down the wells and closed the refineries. You would be wishing for $5/gal.

They’ll complain about gas prices, then go into Buc-ee’s and pay $10 for a breakfast burrito.

US consumers are paying about $30/more per barrel and the US uses about 17 million barrels a day.

That’s $510 million/day, the cost of several brand-new tankers filled with oil.

Congress could authorize Trump to use $1 billion to buy tankers stranded in the Gulf, fill them with crude, and have US Navy sailors run them through the Strait (or send them through by remote control or autopilot). A helicopter could be on each tanker in transit in case the crew needs to come off.

Congress could authorize Trump to have another 60 days if:
1. any US vessel is attacked while passing through the international waters of the Persian Gulf or the waters of Kuwait, Saudia Arabia, the UAE or Oman,
2. an Iranian vessel, missile or torpedo enters the waters or airspace claimed by Kuwait, Saudia Arabia, the UAE or Oman within four miles of a US vessel,
3. an Iranian vessel fails to promptly and harmlessly sail to Iranian coastal waters when signaled by US military flare.

The US tankers are unlikely to be attacked. Does anybody here think Iranian thugs want Trump to have another 60 days to whack them?

There is a way to drop oil and gas prices fast.

I use Gas Buddy when prices get high - local prices today range from $3.59 to $4.29 a gallon (all non-warehouse prices available to the general public.)

If one is price sensitive, it’s worth driving a couple of miles (or in some cases, a couple of blocks) to save a few dollars on a fill up.

Taking the boat out on the lake instead of driving a car. It’s summer. You should see the price of gas at the marinas?

I voted for Trump and would never vote democrat even if they gave gasoline away free. Gas is up. So I drive a little less. Trump has cut illegal immigration, saving us a lot of money.

Everyone should run out and buy electric cars and trucks.

Especially dont buy Ford F-150s. My wife says I need a new one, and if y’all dont buy any for a couple of months, maybe the price will come down where i can afford one.

Just kidding. Gas and diesel will go down a bit soon.

You seem to forget that Brando is not in the office anymore. He was kicked to the curb. He wasn’t doing a good job so they fired him.

Next month we’ll be driving from MD to CO. We’re planning to take my 4wd pickup with a rooftop tent camper. It gets about 16 mph highway.

We will have the option of my wife’s small SUV that gets 30, but we’ll be more minutes in our adventures with that. So truck it will be.
