If you think about it, hollywood has a history of making White characters black.
Jim West was White in the TV show, in the movie it was will smith.
Last time I checked Nick Fury was White in the comic books.....what did Hollywood do? Gave the role to sambo l jackson.
Same with The Honeymooners movie, made all the characters black.
And that’s just the ones that immediately come to mind.....I’m sure there’s more.

In my view casting Matt Damon as the lead was as big as mistake as casting black for white.
