Currently, wiser heads are dubious about the plan, but who knows what the Democrats will do if they feel they’re out of options?
ast week, the Virginia Supreme Court, which has been considered a left-leaning court, surprised everyone, including the Democrats, by issuing a correct ruling: The rushed ballot initiative to gerrymander Virginia’s Republicans into oblivion didn’t pass muster, invalidating the election.
Democrats responded with their usual “burn it all down” rhetoric. CNN’s Abby Phillip, in full “emo kid” mode, announced that America is now “in the depths of hell,” and that all black voters have been disenfranchised. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who ought to have been statesmanlike, fanned the flames, attacking the Virginia Supreme Court and announcing that the United States Supreme Court is a Jim Crow institution.
Jeffries also promised that Democrats “are exploring all options to overturn this shocking decision.” With that in mind, Quinn Yeargain, a law professor at Michigan State University College of Law, has a plan. It’s not a good plan—indeed, it’s an attack on America’s core premise of stable institutions and impartial courts—but it’s a plan.
In an essay at The Downballot, a progressive (i.e., hard leftist) outlet, Yeargain suggests that the Virginia legislature change the state Supreme Court’s retirement age, so that, effective immediately, everyone over 53 must retire—an upper age limit that would put all of the current judges out of a job:
Article VI, Section 9, of the Virginia Constitution gives the legislature unlimited authority to set the retirement age for judges. It specifies, “The General Assembly may also provide for the mandatory retirement of justices and judges after they reach a prescribed age, beyond which they shall not serve, regardless of the term to which elected or appointed.”
Currently, he writes, the retirement age is 73,

It’s so typical of the left when they lose: they don’t get their way so they want to break things: Add more positions to the US Supreme court so they can stack it with lefties, remove Donald Trump from the ballot, gerrymander the opposition out of all possible contention. The left does not believe in the constitution since they work so often to subvert it.
“Our democracy” = “their democracy” = they are in charge, you shut up and obey or else.
Or else what you ask? Just ask Charlie Kirk, just ask the VA Supreme Court.
The real problem is the stupidity of many Americans who are increasingly seeing violence as the norm.

Exactly how they think. If it serves their purpose how can it be wrong?
This is the kind of rhetoric that makes Blacks look stupid. Democrats are going to find out that they aren’t ,and the Black folks are going to break the Democrat chains and free themselves.
Because right is what they do to others, wrong is what’s done to them.

What is to prevent them from lowering the age to 18? Yes, require EVERY judge on the Supreme Court to be no older than 19 and be a female. Cause they know young women rule with their emotions, not their brains.
Communists, socialists, Islamists, leftists(but I repeat myself) all have as a primary tenant “if it advances the cause it is good, if it doesn’t it is bad and shoild be ignored, destroyed…..”

Has there ever been a political force in the United States as dangerous to our Constitution as the Democratic Party? Seriously. They didn’t like the election of Lincoln so they started the Civil War. They didn’t like emancipation of blacks so they formed the KKK and unleashed a terror campaign across the South for about 100 years. They implemented the Jim Crow and segregation laws that they brazenly accuse Republicans of wanting to bring back. They put liberal judges on the courts who ignore the law to advance liberal policies. And then when a court stands up to their naked power grabs, they move forward to get rid of the court as they are trying to do with the Virginia court. The Democratic Party is a cancer on this country.
