That’s been their direction since FDR. The only argument has been “how fast?”. And far too often the Republicans join in to say “yes, but maybe a bit slower”.

Interesting to see how Fetterman seems to have a mind of his own.

Yes, I know. He’s still a Democrat and yes, I know when push comes to shove, he’s going to vote the way Chuck Schumer tells him to vote, when it’s time for Senate votes.

It is just interesting to hear him express such ideas, when we don’t hear other Democrats publicly talk the way he does.

He should watch for headlights of cars tailing him and take it seriously about using an under vehicle telescoping inspection mirror before getting into a car.

Dems since Pelosi got in know they can’t step out of line and live to tell about it.

Wait until AOC replaces Schumer. That could be the breaking point. Isn’t his wife a full on commie?

He’s going to vote the issue not the party, but issue-wise he’ll still be voting 80+% with the Democrats.

By his own admission he would make a terrible Republican.

Tell him I’ll be impressed when he’s the deciding vote against the Ds. All he does is talk a good game. In fact, he reminds me of the RINOs while campaigning....

Orthodox Islamic norms—evident in elevated rates of forced marriage, “honor”-based violence, and female genital mutilation within affected communities—treat female autonomy as a threat

Until the late 1960s, "liberals" were mostly of the New Deal type, e.g. Harry Truman to Hubert Humphrey - you may agree or disagree with them on economic issues, but they were still mostly sane, and not so different from Pro-New Deal Republicans like Eisenhower and Nixon. It was only with the start of the counter-culture and various racial identity movements (disguised as "Civil Rights") that New Deal liberalism started to slowly but surely be replaced by "Progressive" outright leftism, until by about 2000 the "Progressives" (and opportunists who pander to them, e.g. Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden) completely took over the party.
