I really don't know how to feel about this one.
I'm 100% totally anti-theft and I think stealing needs to be dealt with harshly. But maybe not THIS harshly.
D'Mari Jy'Quan Patterson, 20, was arrested Monday and accused of snapping at the trio (of young female thieves) while on-the-clock at a Taco Bell in West Palm Beach ...
One video obtained by police showed Patterson berating the woman who lingered near the soda fountain, CBS 12 reported. Police said they could hear a firearm being racked in the video mere seconds before the first round went off.
One woman was hit by a bullet and collapsed to the ground. Another suffered a graze wound, while the third bolted, the outlet reported.
Patterson, who tried to plead self defense, allegedly chased her down and fired another shot in her direction, which struck a window near the Taco Bell entrance.

When you are working and someone, or several someones, brazenly steal right in front of you and dare you to do something about it? Yeah, it makes you angry.
A functional system would have resulted in him calling the police to deal with it. But we no longer have a functional system.
I would suggest that the general public get off their padded butts and do something or they are not going to like the results.
Wendy’s is ahead of the game. I hear they are remodeling their restaurants in certain areas as drive-through only. No one allowed inside.
The authorities should prosecute the “victims” for theft, to be completely fair. Charges from taco bell for theft should be filed. Fair is fair. Guy who shot at thieves did the wrong thing, though.

At last count, 73% of blacks are raised in single-parent homes. I blame this on the gov’t for paying single moms more when the father is not present. I wonder what would happen if you reduced all subsidies (e.g., welfare, SNAP, rent, Medicaid, etc) by $5000/yr for single moms but full benefits when both parents are present. You don’t think momma would go after the father if that was the case?
