Why there's this rift on the Right that didn't exist a year ago [It's because of the neocons.]

A huge reason why there's this rift on the Right that didn't exist a year ago is because Neocons are not team players.

They operate as political parasites, using our candidates and elected officials for their own ends without ever reciprocating anything in return.

This isn't how stable political coalitions work. The entire point is that you join forces with people you may not agree with 100% of the time, but you still fight for their priorities so they will fight for yours.

But Neocons like to pretend they're above all of that. They're a single-issue constituency. They will bounce between the Populist Right and Establishment Left so long as they get what they want.

Case in point, many Neocons bitterly opposed Trump all three times he ran for office, and yet the moment the US began bombing Iran and delivering on the crown jewel that many of them had been working towards for over 25 years, did they turn around and repay the favor by supporting anything that Trump's base voted for?

Of course not. The SAVE Act is still languishing in the Senate despite 100% of the GOP and 80% of the public wanting it to pass. Meanwhile, Neocons in Congress are signing on to a mass amnesty for criminal aliens bill and calling it "Dignity", despite stricter immigration arguably being THE signautre issue that Trump campaigned on and his base voted for three times in a row.

The lesson here is simple. You cannot ally yourself with Neocons. Ever. They do not understand or care about the concept of political loyalty. They're bad actors who only care about permanent regime change wars abroad and will backstab you at home the moment you give them what they want.

Working with Neocons is like "uniting with the Left".

Conservatism is a political doctrine that emphasizes the value of traditional institutions and practices and their gradual evolution under conditions of continuity and stability. They generally believe that government should be the servant, not the master, of existing ways of life.

I have noticed that. It is getting less easy to set aside when reviewing his accomplishments. Which I think have been great for the U.S. and I appreciate them very much.

The usual idiots in the peanut gallery

Sad FACT is they are clueless that the 'holy' catholic crew of Biden, Pewlouise. Durbin, Newsome ... etc.. have worn out their welcome.

Anyone one doesn’t like gets a label “neocon,” “MAGA Republican,” “evangelical Christian,” “isolationist,” “anti-vaxer,” etc. The label is a stereotype applied to many but, in truth, applying to few.

The author makes a valid point that coalitions should involve respect for the opinions of coalition partners.

I generally supported past military actions. I have to admit now, that many solved problems only to create new problems.

I suggest we not assume that Trump will go down the same path as his predecessors. On the other hand, it might be a mistake to assume otherwise! It’s the slippery slope argument.

Dude, how did we achieve peace with Venezuala? With a focused and devistating military strike against a tyrannical regime. Why do you think that Venezuelan lady gave Trump her Peace Prize? Why do you think Trump is practically a God among Venezuelan expats? He liberated them from a violent oppressive government and he made our own country more safe and secure in the process. No more Russian/Chinese proxy on our doorstep.

THAT’S how you spread peace - with negotiation if possible, and with action if necessary.

No, but propagandists don’t necessarily have to live in the USA to propagandize against the USA... or to get paid to do so.

Neo-con is used by many in these forums as a general purpose slur towards posters that generally favor a more interventionist policy against our enemies. It has been misused by conflating it with militarist or war hawks. The term was first used to describe former Great Society but also anti-Communist liberal democrats that left the democrats for their dovish pro-communist attitudes. Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and William F Buckley could be called war hawks cold warriors but they weren’t Neo-Cons. The Kristols and James Schlesinger were.

Our enemies?

And it's not a slur if it's true. Let's not pretend that it's for those "generally favoring a more interventionist policy against our enemies".

The term neoconservative refers to Trotskyist academics from New York. Trotsky described himself as a Marxist, and a Bolshevik–Leninist, as well as a follower of Friedrich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, Karl Liebknecht, and Rosa Luxemburg.

This faction of the Left that was losing influence to the "New Left" decided to attach themselves to Conservatism in order to steer their power for their own agenda. They pushed their way in with "The enemy of my enemy is my friend.", hiding that they've shown themselves to be far, far more anti-American.

In the U.S., neoconservativism spread among the Liberal Hawks who were Democrats; with adherents such as Paul Wolfowitz, Paul Bremer, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama, Madeleine Albright, Thomas Friedman, and Samantha Power among those whose names would be recognized in the public sphere.

These are not conservatives despite their Marxist playbook approach of naming themselves "neo-conservative".

You DO realize Iran BOASTED they were months away. Or do you limit your viewing to Tucker Carlson and MSNBC?

They've been making that boast for decades.

Or do you limit your viewing to Tucker Carlson and MSNBC?

Your resort to Ad Hominem attacks says a lot. I don't watch Tucker Carlson, nor MSNBC, and it's not just them that are questioning these attacks.

If the administration wants any legitimacy in this situation, let's see charges against the Epstein clients AND the government entities, both foreign and domestic, that blackmailed them in order to use the United States as a debt slave plantation and a weapon against others' enemies.

And no, Iran has NOT spent years saying they would have nukes in weeks. That is as big a lie as your Epstein fantasies.

Yes. We live in a blackmailocracy. Both sides of the Uniparty have co-opted the United States against the will of We The People.

And it's not an "Epstein Fantasy". Your attempt to belittle the fact that the Epstein clients are still in their positions of power speaks volumes.

Iran signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and allowed inspectors in their country. There are other countries with nuclear weapons that have not.

The "they" I was referring to was not Iran. It's the same propandists that we're heard for decades.
