I was wondering what became of nopardons, as I hadn't seen her posts for some time. I always enjoyed her commentary on the situation in South Africa (i.e. attacks on Afrikaners by the ANC Government's goons), and am saddened to hear that she passed away.

Goes to show, we never know who we might be talking to on FR.

He’d been living in Florida for several years but kept up with us in NC.

So far, all I have are his name and the year he passed--which is enough for a memorial, but I can tell he had close friends here and you all may want to add something more personal.

Was he a veteran, military service?
