I’ve never known a Husky to be mean. They’re usually sort of stupid, beautiful and friendly.

Ironically, it’s the Yorkies that terrify me. My Mom had one when I was a toddler, and he was kind of a jerk. They terrify me.

My dogs are the supposed mean ones: rotties, dobies, Sheps. It’s all about training. My rottie sent me to the hospital only once— when she brushed past me through a doorway and bent my knee inward and gave me a partial tear of my medial meniscus.

Think of the once scene in Galaxy Quest where they’re maneuvering in the docking bay and side swipes the side of the bay.

But I have never heard of Husky’s being vicious. Beautiful and stupid, yes. But mean? No. But... there are so many factors that go into a dog’s temperment.

And while I don’t like Yorkies, I hope the poor little pup is okay.

“When I went looking for a stick, the husky ran off with Sophie in its mouth.” Sophie’s Choice?

The Husky didn’t have to be mean, just hungry.

Some may not like my comments but here they are. I’ve owned 3 Siberians. By nature they are not aggressive dogs. Heck, they rather lick your face than anything else. They are also fantastic with children and a deterrent to bad guys because they don’t wage their tail and have a face like a wolf. On the other hand, many smaller dogs (or yappers as I like to call them) will tease/provoke larger dogs like huskies. Some owners think it’s cute. Huskies, like shepherds, get pissed off. So I have to avoid that smaller dogs, while the larger ones are playful.

Might have been a Malamute. Most people can not tell them apart.

I’m not watching the film.

But some dogs have a greater prey instinct which is brought out by the size of the other animal.

Small dogs are sometimes seen as prey (as if they were a rabbit or squirrel) while a dog that is closer in size is not.

While some breeds do not have strong prey instincts, that doesn’t guarantee that a member of that breed will not.

She was afraid the other dog might attack her???? Are you kidding me? Come at one of my dogs and I’ll KILL. No hesitation. Man or beast, I don’t care. And yes, I am always armed.

Actually they are common biters but infrequently killers although two years ago one killed a baby here in TN

They are arguably along with Malamutes natures most beautiful dogs but they are one owner attachment dogs and aloof

It’s not my business but I prefer more social dogs like Rotts

Although they love to sleep lol

Huskies have a high prey drive. If you get their prey drive going, they can’t help themselves.

I researched this

Been several children and babies killed by Huskies past ten years USA

14 humans killed by Huskies 2005-2019

Somewhat alarming considering not a terribly common breed like pits rotts and Teutonic shepherd styles breeds

I’m surprised

The husky is probably feral, so the yorkie won’t likely be coming home. Out here, coyotes bedevil pet owners. We’ve lost a number of cats in our neighborhood to coyotes.

I lived in AK for 20 years. It seems that every year there was at least one report of a family husky turning on and killing one of the children, seemingly for no reason. Most of them had been in the family for years.

That’s normal for a husky. You can’t trust them around smaller animals.
