Royal Rockefeller was found guilty of aggravated assault and sentenced Thursday to five years in the custody of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He must serve a minimum of three years before becoming eligible for release.

For anyone following closely, my belief is that we have to:

1) face the fact of excessive black violence,
2) be able to recognize it in public without being shouted down with the word “racist”,
3) offer potential solutions,
4) argue in public in favor of such solutions,
5) legislate solutions,
6) enforce solutions,
7) SO THAT THERE ARE FEWER BLACK VICTIMS!

This is not some academic exercise in moral preening à la Furry. We literally have to be allowed to take the first two steps in order to get to the last step.

So, whenever we have an instance of violence of any kind, it is a symptom of rotted culture. There is rotted culture in every racial group. Let’s be superior human beings for others and look that culture squarely in the eye and propose solutions for it.

As for myself, I have one serious solution:

Welfare causes Fatherlessness causes violent crime, therefor cut and restigmatize welfare. Welfare is a vast ship of maladies foisted on us by the racist LBJ. Let’s have a multi-generational project to reverse his deleterious legacy!

Everyone should always chime in with a SOLUTION. That’s mine. It’ll take at least as long (60+ years) as the development and expression of the malady.

I moved to Fargo in about 2001. It is not much at all like the movie, which I eventually watched. The accents can be like that, and the comparative innocence of the local mindset are sometimes right. But I’ve never been in a safer place.

In my first week there, I pulled up to a 7-11 on the edge of town, and there was this big old American sedan idling with the windows down, nobody in it, a purse on the front seat with maybe a couple hundred dollars spilled out of it. No worries. The lady was inside getting a coke, and nothing was going to happen. The car and the money were perfectly safe there in the parking lot.

I took this as a hint, and ran a test for the next 7 years. I put a single dollar bill on the top of my cubicle by the aisle, in plain view, easy for any co-worker or night cleaning crew to pocket. When I left I 2008, I picked up that same dollar and left with it.
