When it comes to the queer bar in the wild, so many threats exist, and it's only gotten worse in the past few years. Higher upfront costs combined with lower foot traffic have caused a nationwide problem for the service and food industries, which is exacerbated in queer spaces, which deal with smaller demographics than the average bar or restaurant. And of course, there’s the fact that many people, especially younger people, just don’t go out or have a third space anymore.

I was researching articles on the recent Texas requirement to list your true sex on driver licenses and Them popped up, of course, as the adversarial position. This related article on the website caught my eye.

Some of the issue with gay bars might be that they simply are not dangerous enough.
Part of being homosexual is the mixture of daring, risk, and attention getting, lots of game playing and predatory behavior and psychology, it may be that the gar bar scene is not very fulfilling and not worth the prices when compared to being afield and in play outside of the monotony and sameness of the expensive gay nest, as the gay bar novelty wears off.

Could be that “those other folks” are simply disgustingly gross.
This is not mew trend. “Gay bars” have been trending down for at least 20 or more years in which they have declined by 45%.
Gay bars in the United States have experienced a significant long-term decline, with the total number of establishments dropping by over 45% between 2002 and 2023.
Those statistics may not mean that “Gays”, as a group, are going out to bars less. It may mean they are going out less to “gay specific” bars, restaurants and places of entertainment.

Gay Bars are closing? Great! Now take that crap off of TV too! It’s not just child abuse, airing that filth abuses everybody who happens on to it while watching the tube. The Drag shows are disgusting and repulsive. Cancel all of it and don’t allow gay scenes on TV commercials either. If you want to live like that, fine, keep to yourself but get it out of our faces!
