11 March 2026 Total Incident Summary. Reporting period: 28 February 2026 - 11 March 2026. UKMTO has received 17 reports of incidents affecting vessels operating in and around the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz (SOH) and Gulf of Oman. Total attack reports: 13. Attack UKMTO #20
11 March 2026 UKMTO WARNING 020-26 - ATTACK Report Date: 11 Mar 2026 Report Time: 0205UTC Issue Date: 11 Mar 2026 Source: Master UKMTO has received a report of an incident 50NM northwest of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Master of a Bulk Carrier has reported their vessel being hit by an unknown projectile. There is no report of any environmental impact. The crew are reported safe and well. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.

11 March 2026 UKMTO WARNING 019-26 - ATTACK Report Date:11 Mar 2026 Report Time:0435UTC Issue Date: 11 Mar 2026 Source: Company Security Officer UKMTO has received a report of an incident 11NM north of Oman in the Straits of Hormuz. It has been reported that a cargo vessel has been hit by an unknown projectile in the Straits of Hormuz which has resulted in a fire onboard. The vessel has requested assistance and the crew are evacuating the vessel. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO while authorities continue to investigate.

On a serious note, the only meaningful way to protect tankers is a naval escort with anti-ballistic missiles.
Just glancing at this article, they are cargo vessels being struck by “projectiles.”
The Brits report three cargo ships hit. The only one I can specifically identify is a Thai vessel, the Mayuree Naree, 172m in length.
A long-term solution to this problem.

.....and Russia made 3 billion EXTRA last week on the oil price spike....and holding more than $75 Trillion in natural resources ( #1 in the world) insures their status as a Superpower remains intact.
Time to acknowledge facts. The U.S. would be wise to reinstate full Trade with Russia.....Trade and Commerce has always been the path to Peace, they have much of what the West needs.

Ballistic missiles are not the problem
Small anti ship missiles and other suck rockets having short range are the risk. The navy vessels contain armament specifically designed for defense against such weapons.
Mines are to my surprise a potential problem as well. I think our navy can insure a clear unmined path
Our air forces are attempting to destroy the sources of such attack but apparently have not yet completed the task.

Do you mean “VLCC?” But somehow carrying munitions big enough to fend off ships mixed in with 350,000 tons of oil aboard in a single shipment may not be the way to do it. One torpedo or direct hit from a gunship of any real size will cause a real fire and most likely an explosion big enough to kill everyone on the ship and anyone around them. Might not be a good choice.
Fear of that is what makes the Iran threat a problem and until we and the allies can accomplish a systematic detection and neutralization, which won’t take long as Iran’s capacity is not strong and getting weaker all the time along with the chance of having countries they have fired upon joining the game.
The only real problem now is how to keep it shut down. Even our own US people have been derelict with the returning of funds to Iran by Obama and Biden so they could repair and expand their nuclear weapons program. Thanks for the sour persimmons cousin.

I remember that is a Leftist tactic often used to sway opinion. Something like this:
There has been a 300% increase in rapes, sexual assaults and discriminatory sexual language on this campus this year! We need to protect women from these violent rapists and assaulters!
And then it turns out the campus was building a new medical center and it was basically cat calls and whistles from the construction workers.
i cant believe, all of the strategic points in the world, im quite sure the Straights of Hormuz being one of them, that either USA or Israel didnt have a plan to stop this from happening. They only YESTERDAY sunk 16 so called “mine laying boats”?. Id think that would have been one of the first things taken care of. What has the pentagon bewen doing the last 50-60 years?? This has been an outstanding military operation so far, but this is a screw up.

Any plan must include time as a factor. There is a definite plan that is in process. The straight will be re opened as the various elements of the plans are carried out.
What you think is of no consequence. What the generals and Admirals have planned is all that matters
