Wastewater SCAN data show that human metapneumovirus, or HMPV, is rampant in Northern California — specifically San Francisco, Marin, Vallejo, Napa, Novato, Santa Rosa, Sacramento and Davis, per reports.
The virus peaked sharply in January and remains elevated in early March, although the seasonal winter wave is now tapering.
“It is a single-stranded RNA virus, like flu and COVID,” Dr. Marc Siegel, Fox News senior medical analyst, told Fox News Digital. “The virus is increasing not only in the west, but also around the country.” The wastewater data also show that HMPV is rising sharply in the Midwest and Northeast.

I’m as elderly as they come and never, as in NEVER get those stupid flu shots, or covid shots or any shots at all. Healthier and older than most of my friends..
Caused by people pooping in the street
which doesn’t happen where I live
My Vit C is right up there. But if I get a sniffle, then I take 500 mg C for about 3 days...and voila...it’s gone. I’m also a honey and lemon fan...and also pop Vit C cough drops.
Just in time for the midterm elections. Like clockwork!
Oh, really?

How much research did you do on this subject before making the above comment?

"Scientists have studied wastewater for viruses since the mid-19th century, with significant early work conducted during the 1854 cholera outbreak in London. The practice has evolved over the years, particularly gaining prominence in the 1940s for tracking diseases like polio."
I did absolutely ZERO research.
My comment was sarcastic in regards to the odd timing ever since the scamdemic NOW we suddenly live in a disease infested world where some people believe the only way to live is to be scared to go outside without a vaccine.
I still want to know what scientist in a social setting brags that they study diseased sh!t for a living. /S
I am just now recovering from my second flu this winter.
Typical flu symptoms, notably extreme muscle/ joint pain and lethargy.
I had recently flown from CA to Vegas, and attribute my latest bout to airport environment, but having the flu even once is rare for me.
My husband, a transplant patient, has not caught it from me, both times!
I noticed chemtrails in the sky when I returned to CA. Who knows what our dear governor Gruesome is doing to Californians...
Sure didn't seem like it but I'll take your word for it.

If you say so...
Wow. I didn’t know you could get it twice! But my Doc did say their were several varieties. My husband is a copd patient, and when he told his doctor what I was experiencing, he immediately put him on an antibiotic and a steroid, because he was hospitalized with pneumonia in November, and it hung on for about 6 weeks after he got out of the hospital. They had him on 90% oxygen for a couple of days. He was one sick turkey.
Amen!
Since Covid I’ve been regularly taking vitamin C 2000 mg, vitamin D with K 5000 IU, calcium, magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, a regular vitamin supplement, zinc, and I recently added collagen to my regimen. I mostly take the gummy form because I hate trying to swallow mega horse pills, but if I’m feeling up to it I’ll take quercetin with bromelain and NAC. I haven’t been sick since my second bout with Covid in January 2022 so I must be doing something right. I’m also 72 and I’ve never had the flu, hence no flu shots ever.
What to know about the virus with no vaccine, treatment hitting certain states Sara Moniuszko USA TODAY
Cases of human metapneumovirus, or HMPV, are hitting certain states, including California and New Jersey.
HMPV can cause upper and lower respiratory disease, and currently there is no vaccine to prevent it and no specific antiviral therapy to treat it, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Instead, medical care can be “supportive,” the CDC notes, which often involves treating symptoms. "Most people will recover on their own," the agency notes, but adds people who get sick should drink plenty of liquids, stay home and rest.
The Cleveland Clinic says treatments for the virus can include oxygen therapy if the patient has a hard time breathing.
Here's what else to know about the virus:
HMPV is not a "new" virus in 2026. It was first discovered in 2001, but cases haven't spiked to recent levels in the U.S. since an April 2025 outbreak.
As of Feb. 21, the latest data available, HMPV makes up just over 5% of weekly reported positive tests for respiratory viruses, according to the National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System, or NREVSS. This is up from 3.83% a week prior.
In April 2025, the weekly percentage peaked at 7.43%, the NREVSS data shows.
In New Jersey, the rise in HMPV cases, plus the number of RSV, COVID and flu cases, has led to the number of people seeking out emergency medical care to skyrocket, according to the New Jersey Department of Health. - https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2026/03/05/hmpv-what-to-know/88996777007/
About Human MetapneumovirusDiscovered in 2001, HMPV is in the Pneumoviridae family like respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Broader use of molecular diagnostic testing has increased identification and awareness of HMPV as a cause of upper and lower respiratory infection.
Symptoms commonly associated with HMPV include cough, fever, nasal congestion, and shortness of breath. In some people, these symptoms may progress to bronchitis or pneumonia. The symptoms of HMPV can be similar to symptoms from other viruses that cause upper and lower respiratory infections.
People can get HMPV infections any time of the year, but infections are most common during winter through spring.
More severe illness is less common but can include:
In adults, infection with HMPV may complicate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Pneumonia may occur in older adults as well as people with weakened immune systems.
You may have multiple HMPV illnesses throughout your lifetime.
HMPV most likely spreads from an infected person to others through:
In the U.S., HMPV circulates in predictable patterns each year, typically beginning in winter and lasting through spring. - https://www.cdc.gov/human-metapneumovirus/about/index.html

I haven’t gotten sick since the chemtrails started
Another opportunity for the “reduce the population to half a billion” crowd to create another mRna vax to kill off or sterilize a bunch of us.
Not on DJT’s watch but, look out later!
Our well water is starting to look pretty good.
God always answers prayer. But sometimes the answer is "no" or "not yet".
If a new vax is optional by choice (as it should be), maybe enough leftists will be harmed by it to make their unfortunate voting habits irrelevant.
My first thought.
