This is an extraordinarily admirable offer to help solve a serious problem in Texas, and it reflects the kind of service and sacrifice our great state needs.

General Paxton wants what we all want, secure elections and a republic that endures. If a deal can be reached that delivers for the American people, then our country wins.

I would say it is a direct endorsement of AG Ken Paxton over crony Cornyn.

If Paxton is elected senator he will vote for the Save Act. If Cornyn is elected senator he will vote for the Save Act. In either case, that would still be short of 60 votes.

Let Thune have Cornyn on the condition that they pass the SAVE Act first and they allow recess appointments so Trump can appoint Paxton AG to replace Bondi.

His views are much closer to Paxton’s than they are to Cornyn’s. He shoudl endorse Paxton.

The SAVE Act could make Congress actually responsive to the voters because it won’t be Venezuela/China/Cuba/Russia/Iran/Serbia choosing our primary winners or out general election winners in our place any more. That’s a big deal. It could make it so that we can get good senators - all of them - rather than the Uniparty choices that the communist cabal sticks us with.

Getting stuck with one bad Senator in exchange for the possibility of having all good ones in the future? That’s well worth the cost.

And if Paxton was AG we might also be able to convict and hang in Gitmo the ones who got us in this position in the first place.

I’m not sure what Hunt’s motivations were other than perhaps trying to increase his name recognition for the future.

I’m hard pressed to believe much of West’s supporters will back Cornyn in the runoff.. so unless Trump were to endorse Cornyn its hard to see how he’s not done in the Senate.
