NBC Poll HUMILIATES Democrats — Party Now Less Popular Than ICE
Survey finds the Democratic Party’s favorability rating trailing Republicans, President Trump, and even ICE.
A new poll from NBC News is delivering some brutal numbers for Democrats.
According to the survey of registered voters, the Democratic Party now holds one of the worst favorability ratings of any major political institution in the United States—ranking below the Republican Party, President Trump, and even U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The poll found that just 30 percent of respondents said they had a positive view of the Democratic Party, while 52 percent expressed a negative view. That leaves the party with a net favorability rating of -22.
Despite months of messaging from Democratic lawmakers condemning ICE and calling for reforms—or even abolishing the agency—the poll shows 38 percent of voters hold a positive view of ICE, while 56 percent view it negatively, giving the agency a net rating of -18.
That means the immigration enforcement agency is still viewed more favorably than the Democratic Party itself.
The only entity tested in the poll with a worse rating than Democrats was the nation of Iran, which received a -53 net favorability score, with just 8 percent positive and 61 percent negative among respondents.

Manning, a transgender-identifying man, was previously convicted of 20 espionage-related charges before having his sentence commuted by President Obama. The New York Times reported that Manning’s testimony “showed that she had been in a mental and emotional crisis as she came to grips, amid the stress of a war zone, with the fact that she was not merely gay but had gender dysphoria.”

At the start of March, shortly after the U.S. began its strikes in Iran, 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne murdered three people and wounded many more before being shot and killed by police.
The FBI said the IEDs contained the dangerous compound triacetone triperoxide (TATP). “I know that TATP is colloquially known as the ‘Mother of Satan’; is extremely sensitive to impact, friction, and heat; and has been used in multiple terrorist attacks over the last decade,” the FBI agent wrote in the criminal complaint.

An 18-year-old Houston man has been arrested and charged after police say he fatally shot a 61-year-old woman in the neck while she was visiting a friend with cancer, then stole a vehicle connected to the victim before leading officers on a chase.
According to Fox 26, Darius DeWayne Hall is accused of the killing of Marietta Allison, who was shot late Friday night in northwest Houston. According to police, officers were called around 11:45 pm to the area of West 20th Street near Lawrence Street, where they found Allison suffering from a gunshot wound on the sidewalk. She was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Daniel also said the suspect took Allison’s purse, stole her car key, and drove off in Daniel’s car. Law enforcement agencies later located the stolen vehicle, triggering a pursuit. According to police, the chase ended after Hall allegedly barricaded himself inside an empty apartment on the Southwest Freeway. He was eventually taken into custody. Hall has been charged with capital murder, evading arrest, and tampering with physical evidence, according to Harris County court records. He was given bonds of $150,000 each on the evading arrest and tampering charges, while bond was denied on the capital murder charge.

My office will continue to protect our state’s children against radical, sick corporations willing to harm kids with their dangerous agenda.”
The order from a Texas District Court stated, “The Court finds that harm is imminent to the State, and if the Court does not issue a Temporary Restraining Order, the State will be irreparably injured.” The company, the court said, “sells chest binders without disclosing the risk of use including, but not limited to, misshapen or deformed breasts, compromised lung function, and rib fracture.”

Corporal Timothy O’Connor, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene. State police identified the gunman as 32-year-old Jesse Nathan Elks.
A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was shot and killed during a traffic stop Sunday night in Chester County, authorities said. The driver who opened fire later fatally shot himself, according to investigators.
The incident happened around 8 pm in West Caln Township after police received a report of an erratic driver in Honey Brook. Corporal Timothy O’Connor Jr. responded to the call and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Route 10 and Michael Road, reports ABC6.
Lt. Col. George Bivens said O’Connor radioed in the stop shortly before approaching the vehicle. That transmission ended up being the last communication from him. “Within seconds, as he approached the car, the driver opened fire from inside the vehicle and struck him just as he approached the driver’s side of the vehicle,” Bivens said.
State police identified the gunman as 32-year-old Jesse Nathan Elks of Honey Brook. Investigators said Elks exited the vehicle after shooting O’Connor, walked a short distance away, and then shot himself with a pistol. Authorities are describing the incident as a murder-suicide. O’Connor, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Trump himself has called on the Senate to send the bill to his desk and even threatened to withhold his signature from any bill until the chamber did so.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune on Tuesday appeared to shut down further talk of using the talking filibuster to push through the SAVE America Act, a key voter ID bill that President Donald Trump has endorsed.
“The votes aren’t there, one, to nuke the filibuster, and the votes aren’t there for a talking filibuster. It’s just a reality,” Thune told reporters. “I’m the person who has to deliver sometimes the not-so-good news that the math doesn’t add up, but those are the facts and there’s no getting around it.”
His comments come after weeks of pressure from members of the House, Senate, and GOP influencers demanding that he use the procedural mechanism to force the legislation past a Democratic filibuster.
His decision, moreover, could have implications for the Texas Senate race. After Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and state Attorney General Ken Paxton reached a runoff last week, Paxton offered to drop out in Cornyn’s favor should he pressure Thune and other Republicans to get the SAVE Act passed.

On Monday, for instance, a counter protester went viral after he threw an explosive device at a protest organized by Jan. 6 rioter Jake Lang, though it failed to detonate. Authorities are investigating a possible terrorist connection.

Group of Democratic senators plan to shut down Senate business unless they get hearings on Iran
The senators want to question Rubio and Hegseth in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee over issues such as the cost, the duration, the endgame and the rules of engagement.
A number of Democrats in the Senate are threatening to do everything they can to shut down business in the Senate unless Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and other top officials come testify under oath before key committees on issues regarding the military conflict with Iran.
“We have collectively agreed that we’re going to use the levers that we have,” Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) said Monday evening. “We should be having hearings on the biggest military engagement since the war in Afghanistan,” according to The Hill.
“Each individual senator has a tremendous amount of power to disrupt the normal functioning of the Senate as well as certain privileges that we can exercise, and what we have agreed right now is that we’re not going to let the Senate continue business as usual, which seems to be ignoring the urgent issues the American people are dealing with,” he said.

He held a press conference shortly after addressing a Republican congressional retreat at his hotel in Miami, Florida, the Trump National Doral.
Just days after saying that he would only accept “unconditional surrender” from Iran, he said military action would end “very soon,” according to The Hill.

Trump warned Iran not to disrupt exports. He threatened going after easy to hit targets that would be “devastating,” citing electricity production as an example.

U.S. Senate to examine birthright citizenship restrictions
The Center for Immigration Studies estimated 225,000-250,000 babies of illegal immigrants and 70,000 babies of tourists were born on U.S. soil in 2023 and granted immediate citizenship.
Prior to the Trump v. Barbara Supreme Court case, the U.S. Senate will examine potential birthright restrictions for children of illegal aliens and tourists.
The U.S. Senate is expected to debate the issue Tuesday.
The U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment ensures the protection of U.S. citizenship, originally created to allow African Americans citizenship upon birth.
But interpretation of the amendment has been called into question. Specifically, the “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” portion of the 14th Amendment is being analyzed to determine if children of tourists and illegal aliens do not qualify for citizenship when born in the U.S.
Illegal aliens and tourists have benefited from decades of interpretation of the 14th Amendment allowing their children born in the U.S. to become U.S. citizens and gain access to all of the benefits, such as education, medical care, protection against deportation, and more.
Birthright citizenship should be for US citizens, not tourists and illegal aliens,” John Fabbricatore, retired member of the Senior Executive Service and former Field Office Director for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said on social media. “No more anchor babies.”
“You’ll have, say, a Chinese woman fly over to America on a tourist visa who happens to be eight and a half months pregnant and she comes over just for the purpose of having the baby here so that baby magically becomes a U.S. citizen. That doesn’t make any sense. That’s not a rational immigration system,” U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas said.

President Donald Trump on Monday said that the Iran is “very complete” based on the extent of the American military impact on their armed capabilities.
“I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force,” he told CBS News White ⁠House correspondent Weijia Jiang. He further stated that he believed the operation was ahead of schedule and that he “has no message” for the newly appointed supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
Trump initially called on the Iranian people to overthrow the regime, but later explored the prospects of a Kurdish invasion from Iraq. Neither development materialized and he has turned his efforts to stabilizing oil prices and trying to reopen trade through the Strait of Hormuz.
Various outlets have reported that Trump, gulf states, and Israeli officials are seeking an off-ramp from the conflict. Trump has also stated that he seeks Iran’s unconditional surrender, leaving the American win condition in a state of uncertainty.
