Donald Trump faced-off in-person with Supreme Court justices who ruled against his tariffs last week.
The four justices who attended his State of the Union address were forced to remain stoned-faced as the president berated them in front of a joint session of Congress, administration officials – and the world.
The president tore into the decision right after sharing cordial handshakes with the four justices seated in the front row of his State of the Union address on Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
'Just four days ago, an unfortunate ruling from the United States Supreme Court. Oh, very unfortunate ruling,' Trump lamented.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett kept straight faces during the berating despite both Republican-appointed justices joining all liberal justices in ruling against Trump's sweeping tariff policies.
Barack Obama-appointed Justice Elena Kagan and Trump-appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh were also in the audience on Tuesday.
Trump insisted that, despite the 6-3 ruling, most countries and businesses have decided to keep the deals they negotiated with the US.
He said that he could make the tariffs even worse if he wanted to and threatened to do so at a press conference last week.
'His expression as he walked past the judges looked especially somber,' body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail, noting a 'fading, high-pitched vocal tone of a 'disappointed' headmaster' as he 'roasted' the justices.
James said that the faces of the justices 'were held in expressionless close-up by the camera, although they appeared keen to return the eye contact from the stage.'

adoption of foreign children - red flag
I’m sorry to say it was a screwup. There were lots of red flags which were ignored by Trump and many others. Her life story and choices were discordant.
“Playing nice as you suggest only furthers liberals who eagerly threaten the SC justices to great effect.”
Point Well Taken!
Trump could have been practicing some OPSEC, good eye there.
“AJ Barrett is a stickler on cases being fully briefed, meaning in part that they work their way through the appellate system.”
There is some value in that.
“Similar to I-95 express lanes, I-66 operates under dynamic tolling with no max toll.”
“When a toll is “dynamic,” the fee to use the lanes is determined by the volume on the roads and demand for the lanes. The suggested toll aims to maintain a free-flow speed of 45 mph.”

It is my understanding that this regulation by dynamic tolls is notorious in the DC area.
Given the liberals only appoint judges who will always vote for the ideology my opinion has changed over the years.
Conservative Judges need to be as dogmatically aligned to the conservative cause as liberals are to liberal causes; otherwise, liberals will absolutely own the court. Conservative judges must be reliable (as in 100%) aligned to rule conservatively
The “necessary and proper” standard should apply to government as a whole and by branch.
I have advocated that Congress set the rules of trade by law that takes account various factors such as the size of the trade deficit and the items to be imported.
That would be subject to adjustment no more than once yearly. This might be done by October 1st for agreement by foreign countries by the first of the year.
We should be a nation of laws set by Congress.
The unfairness and financial imbalance of trade are long-standing issues Congress should have gotten a grip on long ago.
Financial balance should be the key factor in Congressional trade legislation and comparative advantage the next most important factor.
ACB and Roberts, what a pair. They remind me of Frank Burns. She found her match.
You’re blocked from the subway cars unless you put 10 cents in the turnstile.

Your stuff is blocked unless you put 10% in Trump’s turnstile.

WIKI (Congestion Pricing)
in Singapore the charge is based on a pay-as-you-use principle, and rates are set based on traffic conditions at the pricing points, and reviewed on a quarterly basis. Through this policy, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) reports that the electronic road pricing “has been effective in maintaining an optimal speed range of 45 to 65 km/h for expressways and 20 to 30 km/h for arterial roads”.

They remind me of magic christians, the more you berate them the more they think they are right and fighting for a just cause.
“. . . the president berated them in front of a joint session of Congress . . .”
He did not.
He said their actions were unfortunate; very mild.
“Amy Coney Screwball will freak us on birthright citizenship aka anchor babies.”
The welfare laws need to be changed so an anchor baby can’t support a family.
I remember Bammy did this during one of his SOTU addresses. And it ended up working for him in his, then, forthcoming cases. Maybe the Trumpster is putting them in the spotlight, waiting to see how they respond. Maybe, just maybe.
She and Roberts, both!
Frank and Hot Lips.
We are increasingly and inexorably ruled by unaccountable, unelected lawyers. The Judicial Branch was apparently an afterthought in our Constitution and thus an Achilles heel for our nation.
“Strange”?
Like no Catholic ever put country below a prelate or self interest. Her kids deserve an opportunity to be a future American Starner don’t you think?
I’m betting she thinks so...
There is a line of them forming for the 2028 Oval Office.
It did occur to me, last night, that the Judiciary might be the ONLY branch of government where lawyers might be acceptable.
Instead, lawyers run all the branches.
I have long held the other 2 branches need far fewer if any lawyers
And that rule would be?
She is totally woke just trying to present a false fake image of herself. There is no there there. She will be remembered for her lack of character and zero backbone.she is like Obama a giant zero.
