A friend of mine had it. Didn’t find put until it had spread to four or five organs. Died in a few months.

An important opportunity to determine how you will spend your remaining time.

A friend with stage 4 liver cancer from colon cancer spread, is doing a moderate chemo every other week and is still working (office work) after two years.

Another former colleague did a clinical trial in NY and never came home from his first treatment, nor did he regain consciousness enough to put his affairs in order.

My sister left her car in the hospital parking lot, declined surgery, went straight to Hospice and held court for three weeks before she passed away.

So the choice is up to you.

Almost everyone dies of some form of cancer because cancer is simply failure of body cells to replicate properly and that happens to everyone.

Cancer is no longer: OMG I”M GONNA’ DIE !

Medicine has found ways to treat/cure/stop spread but our bodily cells won’t go on forever.

Just a health tip here: if one has a history of severe heartburn or acid reflux, they should see a gastroenterologist and ask for an upper endoscopy. I found out that I have Barrett’s Esophagus which is a precancerous condition. I get surveillance endoscopies every three years to check the cells for any signs of disorder, or God forbid, cancer.
This is the best way to keep ahead of cancer. It’s ordinarily covered by most insurance.
So far, so good.

Esophageal cancer took my maternal grandfather and my cousin (his grandson). I've tried to guard against the prospect by controlling acid indigestion that would lead me down the same path. I've already had to deal with ampullary cancer with a Whipple procedure. My condolences to Nick Pope. Stage IV means you have only chemo therapy to keep it at bay. I have a classmate with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. He is counting the days before calling hospice in.
