The DNA in the glove was most likely from a Hispanic. Searching for a match by examining DNA profiles listed at genealogy sites will also likely be futile. Most people in the US who share their DNA on family tree websites and databases are white.

Probably an illegal alien. He’s long gone now probably to LA or some other sanctuary city.

Hmmm…. have they compared the DNA to Tim Walz’ DNA. Walz’ physique and goofy “always surprised” look is a good match for the DoorCam guy. /sarc

DNA on the glove found a distance from the house is from a Hispanic. Who wants to bet there is a gardener from that area who is sweating this out. Not the killer. Just a litterer.

I personally know more Black people who have used those sites than White people...and I’m sure that many Hispanics, especially whose families have been here for generations, have made use of those services, too.

How long before AI takes a DNA sample and can recreate what the creature looks like from it?

Yes, affluent white urban liberals are only people dumb enough to supply their dna to a database

I don’t think they expected an exact DNA match. More likely, they probably hoped for a familial relationship that would narrow the search. IIRC, wasn’t the Kohberger case cracked by a match to a relative?

You can use DNA to build a physical profile of an individual.

does the DNA from the house match the glove? If not, how do they know the glove is even related?

Total longshot, time to move on. As many have said, they need to keep digging for evidence....probably in the Mexican desert. The perp is likely an illegal who overheard someone talking about working for this “famous” person who was elderly and somewhat frail...an easy target.

The 24/7 news has ran out of any new substance to report, coverage will need to be scaled back.

OK

Every occupant of the US will give DNA so we can solve this.

““We’re hopeful that we’re always getting closer, but the news now, I think, is we had heard this morning that, of course, the DNA on the glove that was found 2 miles away was submitted for CODIS. And I just heard that, CODIS had no hits,” the sheriff said.””

Talk about word salad...The article said it should be 24 hour results on the test of the glove at the FBI. I thought it was sent to FL and not the FBI in Quantico....wasn’t that one of the questionable actions taken by the sheriff?

Could someone tell me a couple of things?

1) When there was that controversy about black people who were suspects and then cleared in criminal incidents asking to have their dna taken out of the law enforcement database, did they succeed? That would reduce the records.

2) How many dna records were looked at for a match? Did it include all the ancestry and other genealogy company dna records?
