On Monday’s CNN This Morning, the “Group Chat” sounded less like analysis and more like a Democratic messaging session.
Discussing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s claim that the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow 2.0,” CNN senior reporter Zach Wolf wasn’t troubled by the incendiary historical comparison. Instead, he fretted that Democratic Senator John Fetterman had gone “off message” by refusing to echo it.
Is the CNN motto still "Facts First"? Or is it "Keeping the Democrats On Message"?
Fetterman said: “I would never refer to the SAVE Act as Jim Crow 2.0 I don't call people names or imply that it's some kinds of things as something gross about the terrible history of Jim Crow.” Wolf’s response?
ZACH WOLF: I think Fetterman is the most off-message Democrat in the chamber right now.

Fetterman is living by his own conscience, while Massie is playing to his audience.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It’s the obvious difference between a person of conscience and a person who has proven that he has no conscience! That’s a character defect common to all RINOs.
Did anyone at CNN say that with a straight face? If so, they should go to Vegas and play Texas Hold'em. They'd make a lot more there than they would telling lies to the public.
Schmuckie is a wannbe Hitler 2.0.
CNN needs to compare and contrast.
You should mention that the Bridgeport in question is Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Bridgeport. Connecticut also made the news not long ago because Mayor Ganim’s people were caught stuffing ballot boxes. Ganim had served time in the Federal Pen in New Jersey some time ago. He is now the mayor of Bridgeport, with underlings taking the rap.
(from Wikipedia:)
2023 mayoral Democratic primary and general election
In the September 2023 Democratic primary for the Bridgeport mayoral race, Ganim was initially declared the winner, defeating his opponent, former Bridgeport chief administrative officer John Gomes, by 251 votes out of 8,173 cast.[70] Gomes successfully challenged the race in Connecticut Superior Court. After a three-day trial,[71] in which surveillance video footage, showing two women stuffing white envelopes into outdoor absentee ballot drop boxes, was introduced into evidence, Judge William Clark invalidated the Democratic mayoral primary results, and ordered a new Democratic primary to be held.[72][70] Gomes’ lawyer tallied the submission of 1,253 absentee ballots, despite surveillance videos only showing 420 people using the boxes.[72] Judge Clark found that two women were directly involved in 15 incidents of ballot stuffing, that both were “partisans” for Ganim, and that the ballot-stuffing episodes were “shocking” and “conscious acts with partisan purpose” rather than random.[72] Ganim denied any involvement in ballot-stuffing.[72] Because the judge had no authority to postpone the general election, the general election took place as scheduled in November 2023, before a second Democratic primary was scheduled.[72] The New York Times described the Bridgeport election as perhaps “the most confusing election in the country” due to the legal uncertainties surrounding the race.[72]
Fetterman, if he won’t switch parties, should make it known he will run for re-elect as a Republican in 2028. Or as an Indy caucusing with Republicans.
Only wish Fetterman could spread his message to the Dem senators from my state [DE]. They just quiver and wiggle to say what the party line is.
This ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ is nonsense. Remind the Dems when they also called the Voting Bill in GA, Jim Crow 2.0 and it was a lie. More voters participated in the following election than ever.
The Democrats are lying.
“off message”
i.e. thinks for himself and not the party line exclusively.
Fetterman knows what state he is from. Left wing doesn’t play well in PA.
I don’t know whther voter ID would change anything in thse circumstances but since it’s D vs. D at least the fraud isn’t swept under the rug.
I had remembered when Ganim ran for governor back in 1994, he was the closest thing to a moderate at that level in the Dem Party of Connecticut. The hard lefties were still purging, with Weicker’s “A Connecticut Party” knocking out any remaining Democrats who were pro-life.
When was the last time Fetterman voted for consequential GOP legislation?
Never, as far as I know.
Like Tyrus said on the Five yesterday, where is the media with two simply words for Schumer when he says this is Jim Crow 2.0....”how so”?
Democrat messaging has been constant lies since...forever.
