President Trump sent Tom Homan to Minneapolis to declare victory and go home, and so he has.
Trump’s border czar announced the end of the ICE surge that had roiled the city and our national politics. Homan says ICE is getting more cooperation from county jails in handing over incarcerated illegal aliens, and immigration authorities have detained many of the illegal immigrants they had been targeting. It’s not clear how extensive the supposed new cooperation is, but Homan certainly forged a better relationship with state and city officials.
The big story here is that semiorganized resistance on the streets, with the support of the elected leadership in Minnesota and Minneapolis, made the aggressive federal enforcement too painful to continue. Usually, in sheer political terms, when mobs are arrayed against law enforcement, law enforcement prevails.

Consider the source...
There are still thousand’s if ICE agent in Minnesota. The article is total fraud. What has happened to NR?
Send in the auditors. By the thousand.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.
Lefties surrender, but declare victory anyways. Film at eleven.
Facts are stubborn things. Hennipen County is only handing over illegals with judicial warrants which is a tiny minority of immigration cases. Still ignorning ICE detainers and releasing criminal illegals with them, not verifying immigration status, etc., etc. We’ll just call this battlefield surrender winning because, frankly, we can’t do anything else with the midterms coming up and GOTV critical.
What she says and what she does are two different things.
I think a lot of you wouldn’t be satisfied even if President Trump sent the entire Marine Corp to bust down every door in town and then arrest Walz, Frey Ellison and others.
You are sad you didn’t get a civil war.
No matter what they do next, the followers and “leaders” of the Democrat/Communist/Jihadist Party (more accurately, Cult) will celebrate this as a major victory over those of us who want to preserve our Republic and protect our Constitution ... a MAJOR victory.
What a lie....it was Minnesota government that “threw in the towle” as they are now handing over the bad guys when they were not before thus not needing the surge to go get them. This is garbage by National review.
Umm, the ‘surge’ was necessary because ICE was forced to operate in the streets. This was due to Walz and Frey’s refusal to honor holds on criminals in custody, preferring to release them into the community rather than turn them over to ICE. Once Homan talked turkey with these miscreants, they agreed to hold illegals in custody so ICE could pick them up peacefully without having to battle insurgents in the street. This meant Homan could redeploy excess personnel elsewhere. I call that a win. Funny NR left out all the relevant context.
Yes.
I do wonder, though, how sincere or lasting is their commitment.
What about the Somalis that stole hundreds of millions and the politicians that allowed and profited from it?
Actually, it’s the Trump admin “leaving out the relevent context.” It is quite common in Democrat controlled. areas for LEO to ignore ICE detainers. That is continuing as usual in Minnesota. Criminal illegals are released and ICE is not notified. Only in cases where ICE went to a judge and got a judicial warrant is ICE notified by local PD.
How many out of 40 million illegals do you think ICE has gone to a judge to get a warrant for?
Walz is a loser. Removing ICE from Minnypopulis will allow the FBI to investigate the corruption and FRAUD that Walz and the Somali bastards have wrought on our nation!!
National Review? Seriously? Does anyone really believe this rag has any journalistic credibility?

What does Trump have to do to get the US out from under the Refugee Convention?
Send (or hand deliver) the Secretary-General of the United Nations a letter!
****
Dear Secretary-General of the United Nations:
I, Donald J. Trump, the President of the United States, on behalf of the United States, do denounce the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol, as permitted by Article 44.
Donald J. Trump
The Secretary of the Treasury shall set up an ICE Bank System
....
All persons and entities who engage in any type of physical real property activity must use an ICE Bank System account of theirs to obtain payment
....
Such physical real property activity shall be deemed to include building facility cleaning under contract and all building construction, building repair, building painting, septic system work, building site preparation, irrigation work, paving, landscaping, landscape maintenance, fencing and mowing
....
These pathetic little penileworshippers at NRO have never understood one thing about Trump.
1) They already arrested over 13,000 illegals there. That means that not only did they get the low-hanging fruit, they got all the fruit except for the very top limbs.
2) Classic Trump, he says something “nice,” appears to redeploy, then comes back before long for another sweep. This keeps the enemy off balance and doesn’t allow them to deploy massive resources.
3) Even Homan said that whether grudgingly or not, the Minny cops and Freybread and Tampon Timmy have begun doing their jobs. Don’t know how long that lasts, but Homan said they were redeploying unless the Minny gigglejigets stop doing their jobs, then they’ll be back.
Believe me, DEMOKKKRATS don’t think they’ve won this round, even if the fools at NRO do.
National Review... any questions?
They are quislings period.
And if ice was still surging they would criticize that. TDS is terminal and total
Let these Minneapolis idiots get what they deserve—Hispanic crime, including lots of DUIs, with attendant injuries and fatalities, robberies, rapes and all the other sordid acts that occur south of the border. I don’t wish harm on the idiots, but I hope at least that they learn some life lessons from their foolishness.
