...Extreme temperature variations have occurred on Earth during the last few million years because of its extended Ice Ages which included brief warm periods that continue until now. Researchers conduct their studies on climatic patterns to forecast upcoming climate variations that will occur during the next several hundred years.
Earth maintains a constant temperature throughout time. The planet follows natural cycles which repeat approximately every 100000 years throughout its history of millions of years. The planet spends most of its time in a Glacial Period which lasts through Ice Ages except for brief warming periods that last 10000 to 15000 years. Our current warm period has persisted for 11500 years which indicates that our planet has reached its final stage of summer.
Earth follows its present orbit around the sun which leads to the start of Ice Ages...The solar heat that reaches Earth will decrease through this change because we are approaching a position that generally results in cooling.
..The planet's tilt determines the amount of sunlight that reaches both its North Pole and South Pole areas. The Northern Hemisphere receives less summer sunlight at this particular tilt angle which leads to snow accumulation and eventual development of substantial ice sheets.
The Gulf Stream and other ocean currents show signs of an approaching Ice Age through their decreased movement rates...

The sun’s zoomin’ in.
... and we’re back full circle to the “new” ice age and we’re all going to die.
For the record, I prefer a warm earth over a cold one.
Could’ve said something before the frozen bomb cyclone polar vortex nor’easters hit.
Very very confused Scientists, LOL
The Society of Confused Scientists.
AI junk.
No kidding
Since October it’s been “winter” here and since December it’s been near subzero almost constantly.
When anyone says “ global warming “ I wanna bite them
/SalamanderCicle
Well...in the Northwest/West YS it has been much warmer...we are going to have severe drought issues because of lackbof mountain snow...just because NE is experiencing severe cold doesn’t make scientists right
US...not YS
Lol!

It amazes me that MSN had an Ice Age story. This really cuts against the “we’re all gonna die from Global Warming” theme that our propaganda media has adhered to 100% for the past two or three decades.
Technically we’ve never left Quaternary glaciation era. For the last 15k - 20k years, we have enjoyed a period of mild conditions (a lull!) with some ups and downs. During this time we built civilization - Yay us! However unless we’ve entered a new geologic era the cold will return.
For myself, I find it ironic to think of New England and NYC back under a mile thick ice sheet. Note the liberal infestation of the population in areas that used to be under glacier ice
Only one thing can save us from this ice age. We must listen to Al Gore.
And then do the exact opposite of what he suggests.
Global Warming, please.
Remember, you can manipulate averages many ways...
Except that for most of earth's history the poles have been free of ice, which is one of the characteristics of an ice age.
