Technically we’ve never left Quaternary glaciation era. For the last 15k - 20k years, we have enjoyed a period of mild conditions (a lull!) with some ups and downs. During this time we built civilization - Yay us! However unless we’ve entered a new geologic era the cold will return.

In the VanHagar song video “Right Now” one of the things that crosses the screen is “Right now is just a lull between ice ages”.

That was back in the 80s.

Burning coal and natural gas probably does not affect the environment (planet, solar system, whatever) but it’s a great way to keep warm.
