With no actual proof informing the public one way or the other about D.B. Cooper's survival, we have to make arguments using circumstantial evidence. For years the biggest piece of circumstantial evidence used against his survival might turn out to be the biggest indication of his survival. Just my two cents.

His mission profile was pretty tight.
Imo definitely ex-military, combat operations.
It exemplified a Quick-and-the-Dead level of proficiency where the only survivors were the experts.
He also seemed to be confident and committed.
I say he made it.
I’m thinking he made it, and he had help waiting on the ground. Possibly on a dirt motor cycle to manage the terrain and get out of dodge quick. If he didn’t survive his ground help took care of the evidence. Maybe the cash was laundered out of the country?
None of (rest of) the cash has ever turned up though. I think he probably pranged into the river.
