Former President Bill Clinton launched an angry attack against House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, as his appearance before the Committee to testify about his links to Jeffrey Epstein approaches.
Clinton gave Comer both barrels in a series of posts on X.
“I have called for the full release of the Epstein files,” Clinton wrote.
“I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee. But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.”
“Now, Chairman Comer says he wants cameras, but only behind closed doors,” he continued.
“Who benefits from this arrangement? It’s not Epstein’s victims, who deserve justice. Not the public, who deserve the truth. It serves only partisan interests. This is not fact-finding, it’s pure politics.”
Then in a third Tweet, Clinton accused Republicans of “running scared” and using him “as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court.”
“If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.”
A day before her husband’s angry words, Hillary Clinton challenged Comer to “stop the games.”
“If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it—in public. You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there.”
Bill and Hillary Clinton will testify before the House Oversight Committee at the end of February. They agreed to do so after Chairman Comer moved forward with proceedings to hold them in criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to testify.
No former president has appeared before Congress since 1983, when President Gerald R. Ford did so to discuss the celebration of the 1987 bicentennial of the enactment of the Constitution.
When Mr. Trump was subpoenaed in 2022 by the select committee investigating the events of 6 January 2021, he sued the panel to try to block it. The panel ultimately withdrew the subpoena.
You are dead on correct about the word “gay”. That innocent word had been twisted beyond all recognition.
But I will stand by my comment about the word “democracy”. I would very much prefer that the United States be referred to as a republic.
Unfortunately, it’s not my call. Over the years, the word “democracy” has become roughly synonymous with the word “republic”. The word has evolved.
Is the United States a democracy? 99% of the public would say yes. The word has evolved. And that’s nothing new.
Here’s something else to consider. In 1940 FDR called the United States the “Arsenal of Democracy”.
Everyone knew exactly what he meant, event though there wasn’t a true democracy left anywhere in the world. The word has evolved, and long before I was born.
So please don’t blame me.
It’s not funny. He’s the reason your dollar isn’t worth much anymore.
And deservedly so.
He and Hilary want to perform a public side show, complete with anti-Trump canards. Tough toenails. You don’t get to do that.
People don't seem to care about that one. They all care about him getting blow jobs from Monica. And him diddling her with a cigar.
Billy Jeff Clinton can no longer call on his War Room chief. During the eight years of Billy Jeff in the Oval Office, little Georgie Step-On-All-Of-Us ran the Clinton War Room, attacking any and all who dared say anything untoward. Georgie has been with the Drive-By Media ever since. When Georgie and ABC lied about President Trump, they settled a lawsuit rather than fight. The discovery part of the pretrial and trial would have bee great entertainment. So, Georgie is not available.

I think if somebody is old enough to remember the clinton years and still identifies as a democrat or at least as “pro-clinton”, they don’t deserve my respect. I try to be open to respecting people, but if they telegraph to me that they’re a lowlife then I need to face reality.

Public hearings are a joke. The questioners are time limited. That’s not very deep probing. The usually turn into a shouting match between congressmen. They are full of speechifying and campaigning by the leftards.
The other option is Schiff Style, in a SCIF, unrecorded, classified, and completely partisan. Then anything can be claimed and evidence can be destroyed.
Or, the Comer way. An in private interview is recorded and transcribed will be fully released to the public and a public hearing if requested.
If we take Comer at his word, he is not saying the Clintons did anything illegal. He is more interested in what created a Jeffery Epstein, how he got his money, how he got so much power, and how he was able to escape any real punishment.
