A Washington state mother captured on video the moment she confronted her 16-year-old son, who ditched class to join an anti-ICE protest, and his refusal to get into her vehicle, claiming that the protest was school-sanctioned.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the frustrated mom, Rachel, pulling up to the protest site and ordering her son to get in the car, only for him to refuse, insisting it’s his “right” because the school permitted it.
In the footage, the mother can be heard saying, “You’re not skipping school for this ----. Get in the car.”
Her son retorts, “No, it is my right,” before walking away.
The mother warns him, “It is not when you are 16. Get in the car right now,” and threatens to call the police, noting that he’s truancy bound.
The boy remains defiant, claiming the school rules allow it. It is unclear if she ever managed to get him into the car.
WATCH:
Rachel, who went by Miss Squatch on Instagram, has deleted her profile since the incident went viral.
The incident unfolded amid student walkouts all over the nation in protest of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.
These student walkouts are part of the “National Shutdown” movement, which began on January 30, calling for Americans to skip work, school, and shopping in protest.
Similar incidents have erupted across Washington, with parents pulling their children from schools over anti-ICE walkouts.
In Auburn, one mom yanked her 7th-grade daughter from Olympic Middle School after students were allowed to disrupt traffic in protest.
A Washington father also removed his son from school, claiming students were pressured to participate.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, a mother in Nebraska is also blaming her child’s high school after the student was struck by a vehicle during an anti-ICE walkout.
This mom was not having it
She probably lost control of him long ago.
If I was in public school now, damn right I would take any excuse to walk out of those child prisons
“Why yes teacher, I totally agree we should skip boring DEI school work and get some fresh air for protesting ICE which will do jack poo in stopping them regardless”
I hope she went up on that threat and called the Law. She should have had his father out there and dragged his ass into the car.
If there’s a father, he may have been at work.
That is why Mom needs to go get him! Dad will be very angry if he has to leave work and pull his idiot kid out of an even more idiot protest.
Get in and come home or don’t come home at All.
No need to go back to that screwl.
My God what a mess.
16 year old kids can be very difficult.
I think a few instructive hours in handcuffs or a jail cell can do a lot to rearrange an idiot kid’s mentality...
I’ve never had one, but I WAS one.
I was raised to have so much respect for my parents and fear of disappointing them that I would not do something I knew they strongly objected to.
But that was a different world; and parents had schools backing them up back then.
Governor George Wallace used to point out often that the parents and other adults were cowards who were using children, forcing them into danger in often violent clash situations, to do the front line work for them in their liberal laboratory of forcing integration.
The adults were too cowardly to face off against each other but sent kids to integrate a school with jeering and screaming people on the two political sides making the emotionally draining for the kids.
The law breaking, law enforcement interference criminals versus the law abiding people and law enforcement.
I don’t see what that has to do with this story.
“The boy remains defiant, claiming the school rules allow it.”
You know the teachers would be all for his defiance of his mother’s authority.
Protests. Yelling. Young school children in the middle.

This was at the end of the article:
“... a mother in Nebraska is also blaming her child’s high school after the student was struck by a vehicle during an anti-ICE walkout.”
Can you imagine?!
Are the kids bribed with (Soros and/or taxpayer) money, too, or is skipping school without school penalty a sufficient inducement for a 16-year old?
It seems likely to me that such schools have put themselves at significant legal risk by (allegedly) encouraging and sanctioning criminality that could have a life-long effect on these children’s police records.
The kid’s teachers will have the boy “transed” by the end of the school year.
I figure the teachers encouraged this. He gets out of class which is fine by him.
However he will find out he will have a future being a paid protester via soros after doing this a few times.
