I have called for the full release of the Epstein files.
I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee. But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.
Now, Chairman Comer says he wants cameras, but only behind closed doors. Who benefits from this arrangement? It’s not Epstein’s victims, who deserve justice. Not the public, who deserve the truth. It serves only partisan interests. This is not fact-finding, it’s pure politics.
I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.

What Comer has done has requested. And then subpoenas Bill and Hillary to sit for depositions sworn under oath. The depositions are to be transcribed and videotaped
Once the deposition has been taken, and examined Clinton’s will be before the Committee for sworn testimony

Slick Willy has always been a master of turning the tables on anyone who rightly calls him out for his wrongdoing... putting on a “poor me, they’re just picking on me for partisan reasons” act. And the sad thing is that his shtick usually works for him.
I can’t ague with your logic. That probably is the reasoning.
But, while I don’t mistrust Comer, I’m afraid they will crawfish on that promise and
edit the tape and transcript if something comes up they don’t want to go public.
It’s really simple
First you have sworn depositions under oath that are videotaped with transcripts
Then you have the public hearings under sworn testimony
Bill and Hillary are old and not as sharp as they used to be
Plus they are. Guilty as all get out
And for those who spend all the day and half the night on FR, is it possible they didn’t bother to see Comer explain that public hearings allow the witness and Dem allies to grandstand, whereas, real legal inquiry can be most effective in a deposition? 5 Minute segments in hearings are for sound bytes, not exposition. If you hope for perjury charges, a depo is the only way to go. Fingers crossed.

I erred in using the word ‘hearings’ in post #16 but depositions is what I meant.
I would grant the two of them a thick, smooth rope that does not chafe at the neck. That’s as far as I go.
