You haven’t heard a word I or others have been saying to you. If a major adversary decides to go to war with us, the first thing they will try to do is blind our command and control and intelligence and surveillance. If one space nuke can do that, and it doesn’t trigger a MAD response because no lives are taken in the attack (well ISS may be up the creek), then what holds them back? Our adversaries don’t do so good in modern conflict because they don’t have our technology but this type of attack would likely level the playing field.
A nuke in space would be equivalent to a Pearl Harbor.

No good if you only wipe out 90% of the satellites. The rest are plenty for defense purposes.
Not to mention, you also wipe out a lot of other countries satellites, which kind of makes them hostile to you.
It is not something most planners would be willing to bet the farm on.
As I posted to marktwain given enough coverage 1 space nuke would be like poking an ice pick through a spider web.
It would have no effect.
