Hollywood actor Dean Cain is pushing back after Ethan Hawke claimed America is no longer free and said there’s now "a fear in the air."
"Try being a conservative, pal," Cain wrote on X, after Hawke suggested that expressing himself publicly now comes with consequences he’s never felt before. Hawke claimed that the atmosphere in America has fundamentally changed.
He made the comments this week at the Sundance Film Festival, where his film "The Weight" premiered.

The posts are spot on. The job of an entertainer is to entertain. Nobody wants to hear Ethan Hawke’s absurd views on freedom for celebrities.
Now, this is where alleged conservatives get miffed. If we say shaddap when a leftist entertainer opens his mouth, then a logically consistent stand is that we don’t want to hear politics from ANY entertainer, left or right.
That means, as much as we like Ted’s politics, he too is an entertainer and should just shut up and play his guitar.
