Minnesota Shows Why the Left Will Win America’s 2026 Civil War
American Thinker ^ | 26 Jan, 2026 | Vince Coyner

The saddest thing about this is that the Republicans will work with the left to ensure their victory.

The United States is facing an existential threat. My guess is this summer will be the most violent, damaging domestic summer since the Civil War. And I predict the left will win and come out victorious on the other side. They will, after winning this new civil war, seek to eliminate the last vestiges of republicans.

I use a small r because while some Republicans are true republicans, most are not. And when the left wins the war, those RINOs are going to “work with” Democrats to create the illusion that America is still a republic, but it won’t be. They will use every tool available to silence dissent, take control over virtually every sector of American life, and they will implement rules so that America becomes a one-party nation.

Now I say all of this with the great hope that I am wrong, but I don’t think I will be.

The cowardly Republicans are going to cave in every conceivable manner in order to try to forestall a civil war. At every level, they are going to give in to the left, they are going to “compromise” their principles, and they are going to betray their voters and our Founding Fathers.

And I mean that at every level in every branch. There is simply no universe where Republicans have the intestinal fortitude to do what’s right in the face of withering attacks from the left.

There is literally no better example of this than election integrity. Nothing animates GOP voters like election integrity. Not abortion. Not welfare fraud. Not guns. (A majority of Democrats support it as well!) Literally nothing gets rank-and-file Republicans more animated in 2026 than elections

I have unused Televideo 925E CRTs that are only 50 years old. They don't work due to electronic component degradation.

The most useful technical information is in books, not in computer files. Once people can't read or perform math none of that material will be useful either.

I have given years of thought to sustainability issues and have read what others have to say regarding that. The higher technologies will indeed be lost. But, thank you for your optimism just the same.

Fire Pam Bondi otherwise this article is spot on. A second chance is not likely anytime soon to put this mess down.

Your take away should be “What are YOU going to do about it.”

Once the thin veneer of civil society finally falls, the author and most of the other defeatists on this thread will likely be surprised by how quickly everything will descend into abject brutality. The next conflict won’t be fought between massed forces, but rather by persistent sporadic attacks on vulnerable infrastructure. Most fatalities won’t be caused by bullets, artillery shells, or bombs. People will die from starvation, disease, and suicide. The next civil war, if it happens, would cause a much greater national death rate than the last. It will be worse than the Spanish Civil War or Sarajevo. The small “r” republicans will win in the end, but everyone will lose. However, it will still be a better outcome than the socialist utopia the leftist globalists are currently trying to lead us in to.

The DOJ is the #1 problem. Some FRiends will say the Judges are the #1 problem. But for as long as our DOJ fails to shine the spotlight on the Judges by inundating them with more solidly-founded and well-researched cases than they can handle, the public perception is that the DOJ is at best not doing anything, and at worst providing cover for the criminals. The DOJ must change the perception of the public or it will remain in the eyes of the public, the #1 problem. And changing that perception will not be accomplished with "strongly worded letters".

Because Republicans always have traitors like this:

“GOP Gov. Stitt Tells Trump to ‘Calm’ Politics by Letting States Import Migrants”

“Powerful House Republican suggests Trump consider pulling ICE out of Minneapolis after Alex Pretti shooting”

And, many Biden/Obama/Clinton appointed judges who let these lefties - all the way up to Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden to get away with their crimes.

Yes. And also make Washington DC and Puerto Rico states - sending four more Democrat to the senate.

These federal judges are hiding behind their Constitutional protections. Very difficult to do in the current political environment. One needs 2/3’rds Senate vote for for removal. (Does the impeachment [House]\trial in the Senate need to be explained again?) They are also protected from the Holman Act by the compensation clause in the Constitution. (Note their office staff isn’t!) Congress could vote (Need both Houses to agree!) to abolish the district. Yes its been done before and for reasons that are not unsimilar - overt political based rulings! However that throws out the good ones as well as the bad ones! One thing that could happen is the Chief Justice USSC could move them from district to district. For example a DC area judge could find himself reassigned to the Alaska district. I doubt Roberts would do it.

Thing is, I get their frustration. I do. I would like to have seen it done on 1/21/2025.

But that is magical thinking. And wholly unrealistic.

This negative attitude is contagious.

Nope. Just the opposite.

As I have written extensively and in my “Larry’s Commentary” on www.wildworldofpolitics.com, this will BREAK the entire left. MN is ground zero.

Remember Rush Limbaugh always said, “They will tell you who they fear?” Amend that to say “They will tell you WHAT they fear,” and what they fear is that the more the feds get into the Skinny Minny scandal. THEY KNOW that the MN fraud lines run throughout the country, and most directly to the big enchilada, KOLLYFORNIA.

I’m tellin’ ya, Trump as always has phenomenal instincts and he knows this is how you break all the fraud, including voter fraud (because that’s the goal).

It’s going to be glorious.

It's incorrect to label the Republicans mentioned cowardly.

They are bought and paid for and only care about living the perverse American Dream of enriching themselves by getting elected and remaining in power.

They couldn't give a damn of representing their constituents or if they are in the majority in Congress.
