How did it happen that Minnesota gave us both Joe McCarthy and Ilhan Omar. Does it mean anything?

FDR had them in his cabinet.
FDR staff tried to get U235 sent to Russia under Lend-Lease until Oppenheimer found out and killed it.

Yes he was right. Blacklisted by History is a good read on McCarthy.
The leftist narrative as usual is 100% inaccurate.
McCarthy was almost always right, as was proved after the collapse of the Soviet Union when their archives were opened to scrutiny.
And C. Joe was proven right by Soviet archives that became available in the early 90’s, the Venona Papers.

Thanks, hadn’t been aware of this with all the accolades heaped on JFK around here. Do you know who wrote this one? I read Theodore White’s Making of the President 1960, and I don’t remember this as part of the campaign It would have occurred in the context of Ike’s Operation Wetback, so I wonder why not
