Personally I don’t think either Newsom or Shapiro will be on the Democratic ticket in 2028. Newsom may be the front runner now, but it is still two years before the voting in Iowa and New Hampshire, and except for incumbent presidents, whoever is in the lead this early ALWAYS loses. There is too much time for Newsom to say something that will derail his campaign. Does everyone remember Edmund Muskie?
As for Shapiro, Kamala Harris wouldn’t pick him for a running mate because he’s Jewish. Is there any reason to believe the Democrats will get over their anti-Semitism before 2028?

Very few people outside MD have clue who Moore is. That allows him to claim whatever mantle he needs to win the nomination and possibly the election. This is quite similar to Obama.
I’m not buying Newsom. The democrats have already tried running two insane broads and won with a black guy. They simply will not support a white guy again before another “marginalized” person serves. Their party MUST nominate a black or female for potus. Regardless of how poorly he is running his state, I believe the leftist base will handily support Wes Moore from Maryland over any other male.
