I’m absolutely flabbergasted, and you will be too.
So, before I started writing for the day, I was looking for value in sports bets just to get a few in before the evening grind. One of the ways that I do this is by scrolling down my Twitter timeline, scanning for numbers and seeing if anything pops. From there, I get all scientific with it, but that’s another story for another day.
I want to tell you what I came across while doing this, and it will absolutely blow your mind. (I actually took a break from looking for bets to get right on this, that’s how insane this is)
There are this Twitter account named @NFL_is_scripted, and there’s only 10 tweets that it’s published, with all of them being connected to Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. The Broncos ultimately won this game, 24-10.
@NFL_is_scripted started out their short series of tweets saying that it found evidence that the NFL has “scripts” for their games.
We’ve found evidence that the NFL creates “scripts” for how some of their games should go. Here’s what’ll happen in SB50:

They then proceed to tweet out what will happen in Super Bowl 50, and you can verify it yourself at ESPN, they literally got everything correct. Mind you, it posted this information (Feb. 1—3, 2016) days before SB50, which was held Feb. 7, 2016.

@NFL_is_scripted also dished out before the Super Bowl that Denver was going to win (8/8) and by a 24-10 score (9/9).

I don’t even know how to react to this … my mind is completely blown … and quite frankly, I’m starting to think maybe the league is rigged. (And FYI, I couldn’t find any verifiable evidence that any tweets have been deleted. This appears to be a real situation.)
What the hell is going on?
NFL sucks, maybe turn off the TV and go for a walk outside instead.
It’s gonna take more than tweets about a Super Bowl from 10 years ago…
Big money makes all kinds of friends.
“hearing” about it? ...
almost every NFL game we watch looks rigged to us, and we say out-loud: “That game looks rigged!”
and there should be no surprise given the overwhelming penetration of gambling into every aspect of the game, including sponsorships by gambling sites, and broadcast chyrons that continuously feature odds on everything under the sun ...
all of the above is why gambling was kept out of sports for so long ... gambling has now penetrated sports so deeply and so broadly that it’s become all about GAMBLING and very little about the game itself ... and it’s only gonna get worse, much worse ...
Don’t forget Jerry and Dan Snyder both tried to get Goodell’s contract not renewed. Dan is now gone, forced out of ownership..........
The NFL cannot possibly be “scripted” if the 2 worst teams reside in New York City.
My brother had no interest in sports, whatsoever. Band and electronics, with a bit of motor vehicle repair, were his things. Moved to Maryland in 1988, took a side job tending bar. Guy walks in and asks for a gin and tonic. Had no idea who he was, but the aura around him was undeniable. People fell over themselves to pay for the drink, and he got a $5 tip (pretty good, back then). “ Who is Johhny Hugh ?” he asked the benefactor ;)
It seems like even that would be hard to keep quiet.
“Is this why Cam Newton backed off, instead of making any attempt to recover his fumble?”
possibly ... also possible that Cam was a chickenshit not willing to risk injury to try to win a superbowl ...
Last game I watched was a playoff game between the Vikings and NO ‘Saints’ - the ‘Saints’ defense absolutely beat up Brett Farve and there was not a SINGLE roughing the passer or late hit penalty after multiple atrocities...Not ONE.
Have NEVER watched an NFL game since...
Fans in New York City embrace losers - outright embrace them.
Before I started watching games in earnest, I would hear about it, and a lot. There was a period during my youth when I had zero interest in the NFL.
Surprising that anybody still thinks it’s legit....
As a Lions fan...hard to accept otherwise ;p
I know all teams get bad calls, it’s just with the Lions, they seem to be in a form I’ve never witnessed before, at the end of games, taking points off the board for bizarre reasons, Calvin Johnson Rule, etc..
That is the crux of my Vegas Mob Flag Theory, which I wrote in detail a year ago. It is the only way it can be done.
They could script it all they want. The players could not possibly ever pull off any script and it’s ridiculous to think they could. Even the WWE after decades of practice can’t pull off a convincing script. Football is way too spontaneous and fast action to ever even come close to pulling off something that complex.
SMH, who’s shocked???? Anyone?? Anyone???
“What the hell is going on?”
Ever watch pro wrestling on TV. How do you think they fill these massive arenas? It ain’t about the match. It’s about the money.
