Recently freerepublic stopped loading correctly on my Samsung phone. The spacing between lines are off and the font is too small and can't be adjusted to fit the page correctly. I've tried all the options on the phone, and returned to my carrier to fix it. They claim it has to be a website problem. Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to correct it?

Hey, if you’re going to use an imitation iPhone, you’ve got to expect these things.
So there’s that.
Brave loads tiny print. Enlarging the print doesn’t fit right.
This happened to us several weeks ago. It’s grueling to use FR on the Android (ours are Motorola, so it’s not just Samsung). We had hopes that the glitch would be fixed but it hasn’t. It’s effing ANNOYING!
I do not think that is the issue.
FR has been busted on Android Chrome and Brave for a long time.
I switched to Firefox and it is normal size. I figure Firefox notices the missing meta name
You are right.
The problem is that FR is missing a critical tag in the <head>:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" />
Every website since 2015 should always include this tag.
It is a very simple fix.
how do you right click on a cell phone?
can someone fix this?
It’s been an issue on and off. I can see by the html source code that they’ve been slowly working on styling for several years.
I see a much greater percentage of posters on these types of threads agreeing that things could be improved and a lot less who say, “I like FR just the way it is”.
If your business doesn’t evolve for 30 years, your customers die off and you can’t obtain new ones.
If your business is on the web, that’s especially true.
When more than 60% of people access the web via a mobile device, you might want to think about making the site mobile friendly.
Join the club and get used to it.
I googled this: how do you right click on a cell phone to view source?
I use a desktop web browser myself to view source as it is easier.
This works in Firefox cell phone web browser and no longer works in Chrome:
Go to any website then tap on the url address bar and a slider should appear. Drag the slider to the far left so you see the http beginning.
Now type in front with no space then afterward press the Go button:
Type just this: view-source:
Example: view-source:https://freerepublic.com
Bkmk
My Motorola, in addition to other problems, sometimes turns up with huge letters making it useless for anything. I don’t bring up any websites on it.
