Few things better illustrate why there has been a steep decline in the quality of writing at The New Yorker under the editorship of David Remnick than his absurd reaction to finding out that a letter supposedly written by Jeffrey Epstein to convicted serial sex offender Larry Nassar which implicated President Donald Trump in something bad has been determined to be fake.
On Tuesday, Remnick revealed just how sadly his obsession over his Orange Whale has overwhelmed him to the extent that he has laughably lost whatever sense of rationality he might have left as you can see in "Trump, Epstein, and the Women."
For the first several paragraphs the furious Remnick hurled charge after charge against Trump before he touched on the supposedly damning Epstein letter to Nassar:

Epstein was only 1 among others who operated (and continue to operate) sex dens.
Judges and government attorneys, and others in law enforcement swept the sex trade activity under rugs. Particularly in and around the general environs of New York City, northern New Jersey, Connecticut, and elsewhere.

I prefer to focus upon the judges, government attorney’s, government bureaucrats, and others in law enforcement - who protected, not only Epstein.

Epstein was a bad person who paid dozens of under age prostitutes for his personal sexual massages.
Epstein was sued by dozens of women for under age sex. He settled every civil case (but one), with out admitting any guilt.
In 2007, Epstein pleaded guilty to one count of under age sex and one count of soliciting a prostitute.
In 2019, Epstein was charged with Trafficking several under age females during the 1990s and early 2000s. 15-24 years AFTER the alleged crimes took place.
Epstein committed suicide about one month after his arrest. He was 66 years old.
