You think you’re being watched by satellites and smartphones—but the real surveillance network is perched on power lines above your head. Scientists recently trained artificial intelligence on thousands of hours of crow vocalizations, expecting meaningless animal noise. Instead, the AI detected structured language, syntax, planning behavior, and something far more disturbing: humans are the primary subject of crow communication.
This documentary explores how crows recognize individual human faces, assign identifiers, share reputations across generations, and coordinate warnings through a global avian network. From facial recognition experiments and tool-making intelligence to crow funerals, justice systems, and possible encrypted communication, the evidence suggests crows are not reacting to us—they are studying us.
If AI can no longer translate their calls… did they change the language on purpose?
Watch carefully. The observers may already know who you are.

I wouldn’t doubt it!
His cousin Joe Crow was ok, indifferent to all races.
They do watch. They probably notice the uptick in available food when humans are around.
A friend of mine comes by my house sometimes, in her car, and I have noticed the squirrels come around on the double when she arrives. I’ve seen them leaving my place and doing a 180 when her car appears. And if she parks and doesn’t leave her car immediately, they sit and stare. Because whenever she visits, she dumps half a bag of nuts by the chipmunk hole. (Making sure some fall in because Chippy doesn’t want to tangle with squirrels.)
They definitely know her. They don’t otherwise stick around my place. Same with deer. I see them on the cameras on their way to elsewhere through my yard. I’m not running a soup kitchen for wildlife.
Animals are smart about food.
Tried it. Nothing. Are you sure you spelled it correctly? It’s my new tag line.
Joe’s aunt Jill Crow was on the fence.
They already have it. That’s why AI could no longer decipher their talk.
Larson was the greatest...
Crows or AI, that is the question (homo sapiens eliminated)
I smell grok talk.
