Stanford Medicine study shows why mRNA COVID-19 vaccine can cause myocarditis

Stanford Medicine investigators have unearthed the biological process by which mRNA-based vaccines for COVID-19 can cause heart damage in some young men and adolescents — and they’ve shown a possible route to reducing its likelihood.

Using advanced but now common lab technologies, along with published data from vaccinated individuals, the researchers identified a two-step sequence in which these vaccines activate a certain type of immune cell, in turn riling up another type of immune cell. The resulting inflammatory activity directly injures heart muscle cells, while triggering further inflammatory damage.

The mRNA vaccines for COVID-19, which have now been administered several billion times, have been heavily scrutinized for safety and have been shown to be extremely safe, said Joseph Wu, MD, PhD, the director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.

“The mRNA vaccines have done a tremendous job mitigating the COVID pandemic,” said Wu, the Simon H. Stertzer, MD, Professor and a professor of medicine and of radiology. “Without these vaccines, more people would have gotten sick, more people would have had severe effects and more people would have died.”

mRNA vaccines are viewed as a breakthrough because they can be produced quickly enough to keep up with sudden microbial strain changes and they can be rapidly adapted to fight widely divergent types of pathogens. But, as with all vaccines, not everyone who gets the shot experiences a purely benign reaction.

“ And not sure how this comment is relevant.”

I don’t know either.

A friend of ours had her family vaccinated during the plandemic.

The next morning they had breakfast and her oldest son, a high school football quarterback, got up from the table and fell to the floor dead.

The coroner refused to release a cause of death.

With the mRNA molecule encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles (LPNs), the concern for naked unprotected mRNA overcomes it's poor cellular penetration due to the large molecule size, negative charge, and rapid degradation qualities. Therefore, to help maximize efficacy, mRNA molecules can be encapsulated in different carriers/vectors to enhance their delivery into target cells. While LNPs are the industry’s most commonly used and well-studied vehicle for mRNA delivery, they’re still subject to certain challenges, such as limited cargo capacity, batch-to-batch variability, biological interactions, off-target effects, potential toxicity, and more. Additionally, mRNA-LNPs need to be stored frozen at −20°C or −80°C, which poses a challenge for transportation and long-term storage.

With these limitations, researchers are exploring alternative delivery methods, including retrovirus-like protein PEG10, biological membrane-based vehicles, organ or cell-specific mRNA delivery, and inhaled, intranasal, or oral mRNA.

Okay, pal, not sure why you’re resorting to rudeness. You didn’t need to comment on my post if you thought it was so stupid. Feel free to feel superior, but I’m not sure what you’re so triggered by.

I simply stated that I got my J&J, have had terrible reactions to it, but it still seemed to super charge my immune system in ways. It also seems to have left me with some nasty side effects, like shingles, and the potential for GBS.

Not sure what you’re so offended by. Speak to me as one would a child, rather than resort to obtuse snark.

I was bullied into get the clot shot, have had some nasty side effects. What is your issue?

Why didn’t they just ask the Chinese scientists who developed the chemical?

Shot, not vaccine. They literally had to change the definition of vaccine so they could call those shots vaccines. It was and still is a lie.

I get over colds a lot faster.

That makes sense. Your immune system is constantly fighting off the affects of the shot instead of having to ramp up when a new virus is detected.

"The injection causes cells in the shoulder muscle to manufacture the spike protein . . ."

You will notice that no spike proteins remain intact once the mRNA molecule enters the cell. In fact, that molecule is only half of the Spike Protein in the form of a RNA molecule. This should tell you that no Spike Proteins ever float around in your arm. However the nature of the mRNA encapsulation is another matter. That lipid nanopartical encapsulation material is having enough problems to suggest another delivery method.

(1) Injected mRNA vaccines are endocytosed by antigen-presenting cells. (2) After escaping the endosome and entering the cytosol, mRNA is translated into protein by the ribosome. The translated antigenic protein can stimulate the immune system in several ways. (3) Intracellular antigen is broken down into smaller fragments by the proteasome complex, and the fragments are displayed on the cell surface to cytotoxic T cells by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I proteins. (4) Activated cytotoxic T cells kill infected cells by secreting cytolytic molecules, such as perforin and granzyme. (5) Additionally, secreted antigens can be taken up by cells, degraded inside endosomes and presented on the cell surface to helper T cells by MHC class II proteins. (6) Helper T cells facilitate the clearance of circulating pathogens by stimulating B cells to produce neutralizing antibodies, and by activating phagocytes, such as macrophages, through inflammatory cytokines. BCR, B cell receptor; ER, endoplasmic reticulum; TCR, T cell receptor.

That’s not something I’d thought about. It makes sense.

It is scary, though — reading about the wonderful snake oil that was the J&J — I’m terrified of what I’m going to experience in the future. Especially with regards to GBS, I had a good friend, a multi millionaire in Tampa, who developed it, and eventually died from it. It was hard to watch him deteriorate. He was an amazing man, and I miss him — a guy who came, literally, from nothing and through hard work, common sense and a strong family, turned a failing business school into a nation wide for-profit college. He was still a humble, church going man, and an amazing mentor.

I miss him terribly. But it was hard to see him in the end — paralyzed, on a vent, and in a fancy wheel chair. I miss him.

you might try eating mass quantities of ginger
that is the only thing that made my anthrax vaccine problems go away

Eat mass quantities of ginger — DON’T MIND IF I DO!

I love that stuff, and use every excuse to add that, turmeric and garlic in my diet. I will say, when I was in Boston, and working for a tech company, this ancient, extremely wonderful, Hindu scientist gave me a recipe for a drink to make when ever I was sick: ginger, turmeric, lemon and garlic — steeped for hours.

It is amazing stuff.

At the height of the pandemic, COVID-19 infection contributed to almost three-quarters of excess myocarditis mortality. Significant disparities in myocarditis mortality persisted from 1999 to 2023. In total, 1184 (70.33%) of excess myocarditis-related deaths between 2020 and 2023 also had COVID-19, with a peak of 76.2% of excess deaths in 2021 reporting COVID-19 infection as a primary or contributing cause of death. You will notice that 1184 deaths from myocarditis is still a low number and that number is even lower for those who did not contact COVID-19.

Myocarditis from the vaccine my be from the nature of the lipid nanoparticle encapsulation of the mRNA molecule. That encapsulation material has its faults and is causing the consideration of alternative methods to deliver the mRNA to to target immune cells. Myocarditis occurs in one in every 140,000 vaccinees after a first dose and rises to one in 32,000 after a second dose. For reasons that aren’t clear, incidence peaks among male vaccinees age 30 or below, at one in 16,750 vaccinees.

Fortunately, most of these Myocarditis cases end well, with full heart function retained or restored, the recovery is typically swift.

I to use ginger for Illness. When I get that tickle in the throat. The wife boils ginger then adds honey to the broth, and I drink it hot. About an hour later all is well.

that sounds yummy....almost like my homemade curry

I eat candied ginger, at least a box a week
that is the only way I can get enough ginger in my body
but it is so worth it

Oh... candied ginger... :: Homer SImpson drooling noise::

I use to be able to buy that in bulk from the local Publix, now I can only find it at Either Whole Paycheck, or the even MORE dangerous organic hipster store, Sprouts.

Ginger is so wonderful.
