California's gas prices have reached crisis levels—and drivers across the Golden State are demanding answers. This video exposes the complex web of factors keeping California's fuel costs the highest in the nation. Discover how the state's strict refinery requirements, low-carbon fuel standards, and environmental regulations create a perfect storm for sky-high prices at the pump. Learn why California's unique fuel blend can only be produced by a handful of refineries, how the Cap-and-Trade program adds hidden costs to every gallon, and why even minor supply disruptions send prices skyrocketing. We'll explore the refinery shutdowns threatening California's fuel supply, the oligopoly of oil companies controlling the market, and whether the state's aggressive push toward electric vehicles offers any relief for frustrated drivers still dependent on gasoline.
As H L Menecken would say, they are getting what they voted for good and hard.
and this idiot wants to be President
Outside of maybe silicon valley and meager pinch in a few spotted areas, there appears to be no discernible human intelligence in sunny California.
Shell sold off its major stake in Aera Energy in 2023, so the video is out of date on that. Meanwhile, Chevron, Valero and Phillips 66 are vacating the state.
CA is too arrogant to change. Just hold out until there’s a Dem POTUS - who write and EO sending $180 billion to CA off of 49 State’s backs.
Who needs gas when everybody in Cali is driving a Tesla?
C’mon man.
So true.
Search Shell sells Martinez refinery. You will get pages of articles on the sale in 2020
It is my understanding Shell is closing many of their gas stations. So they may not be actually leaving but reducing their presence… a lot.
Newsom actually is happy. Communism requires oppressing the people.
Do they have those little stickers with Newsance’s face that say ‘I did that’?
Newsom isn’t bright enough to panic.
“”””Chevron headquarters left.
Chevron is relocating its headquarters from California to Texas, citing strict environmental regulations and a challenging business climate as key factors in its decision.””””
And that meant hundreds of employees with very well paying jobs also left for their new job in TX.
CA you are committing economic suicide in case nobody has already told you that.
Lived in Clark county (on OR border) for a dozen years. Really enjoyed living there. Was member at Royal Oaks & Orchard Hills country clubs all that time. Great area for golf year around. No state income tax in WA and we did most shopping in Oregon with no sales tax.
Shell is reducing its presence, but it hasn’t left yet.
Valero is leaving. P.S....gas prices are going down in my neck of the woods in cali.
Newsum and the idiot dem grifters only run the government to get $...”Revenge is mine” ..saith the Lord....
HOORAY oil companies. Greasy Nuisance is sad.
