Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez Jr., on Monday, evaded questions on the Brown University shooter and declined to say what witnesses claim the shooter yelled before opening fire at the university.
If the shooter were a White male, we would likely know everything about him.
Rhode Island Officials held a press conference on Monday to provide updates on the Saturday shooting and ongoing investigation as the manhunt for the shooter remains underway.
Witnesses say the shooter “yelled something” before killing two students and wounding nine more, and early reports suggest the shooter shouted “Allahu Akbar” before opening fire.
But Perez wouldn’t tell reporters what he said, claiming, “That’s part of the investigation.”
A reporter even pleaded with Perez to tell reporters what the shooter said to help the public identify him, reasoning that “it’s possible a friend or family member might recognize if the person said something that was significant.”
However, Perez claimed that he could not say, suggesting the case may be in jeopardy if he were to share this evidence.
Later, when another reporter pressed Perez, he gave similar answers, dodging the question again. After reporters began to shout questions about apparent cell phone videos from the scene, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley stepped in to declare a wrap on the presser.

At first it upset my wife but after she heard a lunatic shotgunned a Bible study group in Charleston around 2015 killing 8 people IIRC, she now double checks to make sure I AM carrying before we go to services.......sad to have to do that but that’s the world in which we now find ourselves.

There, there has been no follow up threat.

Couple of things....he sure seems nonchalant.
Also, IMO if this is all they have they ain’t got squat.
I was right next to the police station. We were fine. The shooting on the first day of school was scarier because it happened a few yards away (William Morva who still owes me $5).
The bravery came when we had to face the world when it came to Blacksburg afterwards. All our parking lots were full of news trucks.
If the shooter yelled “Allah Ackbar” it would not be heresay to testify to that. It’s only heresay if you are introducing it to prove the truth of the matter asserted. That would not be the case here.
This is what makes it sound like an assassination.

All I can tell from the videos is that he(?) appears to be an overweight incel.
Even that may be incorrect. Could be that he is wearing Kevlar vest and just appears to be overweight. His walk is somewhat unique and appears to be correct for someone who is overweight and his feet seem to be slightly outwards pointed.
If he was a J6er, the FBI would have his entire life history by now................
But when someone bursts into a room and screams something that sounds unintelligible to Americans (most of whom have not heard a genuine "Allahu Akbar" from the live mouth of a deranged muslim lunatic, only from sanitized Hollywood productions) I am going to put my money on Muslims, Leftists, and Transgenders until more information comes out.

First person killed just happened to be the head of the Brown Republicans and an outspoken conservative.
No motive will be known if he yelled Allah Sanckbar.
That’s why I suspect it may have been a reference to Charlie Kirk.

It would seem to me when trying to figure out whom the perp was, one would begin with the best immediate evidence. Victims are the first IMO, they saw it. Besides whom was the first victim shot, hum, could be a clue there.
Next there is physical evidence which must be gathered i.e. brass, spent rounds, recorded voice and visual. These things MUST be pinned down ASAP. It is called a crime scene and requires more than just putting up the yellow tape.
The fact that nothing was released soon after the event i.e. police are looking for a WMA or BMA approximately so tall, weighing about so much, wearing these clothes last seen moving in such and such direction on foot, at a minimum. Rather, all the announcements were stay sheltered, no other info available is BS.
They could have used local talent from the Bocce Courts on The Hill to find out who did it. He would be with the fishes now.
