The Obamas were supposed to meet with director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, the night they were allegedly killed by their son, Nick Reiner, in their home in Los Angeles.
“We were supposed to be seeing them that night — last night — and we got the news,” Michelle Obama said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday night, when host Jimmy Kimmel asked how she was coping with the news of her friends’ murders.
The former first lady said she and her husband were devastated when they learned that the legendary filmmaker and his wife, with whom they had been friends for “many, many years,” had been killed.
“Let me just say this: Unlike some people, Rob and Michele Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you would ever want to know,” she said — appearing to allude to remarks made by former President Trump, who called Reiner “deranged” and “tortured and struggling” in a Truth Social post following the filmmaker’s death.
“They are not deranged or crazed. What they have always been are passionate people who — in a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on — they were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about. And they cared about their family.”
Following the couple’s deaths, former President Obama released a statement praising the Reiners’ legacy.
“Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele. Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen,” he wrote on X.

The President has Rob Reiner as a political enemy, mainly because of Russia, but also mainly because Trump has been a political enemy of Hollywood since he came down an escalator.
Rob Reiner wasn’t an inactive political loudmouth.
Meathead had Jim Clapper as an advisor on his investigate Russia org that began in 2017.
That’s not a casual Hollywood loud mouth spouting off about politics.
That’s a guy peddling the Trump and Russia bull schiff that apparently numb skulls have chosen to forget

I had momentarily saved a meme with a caption that he had checked himself into a mental health rehab because Trump won. It had a photo of him in group therapy in a room with windows, where you could see his face, but only the backs of the others' heads. I thought, well, this is a distasteful, virtue-signaling, martyrdom publicity stunt—and tossed it.
Darn it.
Since the Secret Service would be involved with any of Obamas’ travels, they should be able to verify this claim.
Also, it is SS procedure to preclear the venue for protected travels. Did the SS go to the Reiner house in advance?

The attack on Trump was a political act

Furthermore….if the left act like a$$ ho’s that makes it ok for us to do the same? Where is the adult leadership to pump the brakes on violence and to lead by example? Not in the WH. Trumps coldness to the surviving children is ghastly.
Like a simple statement of sympathy to the people actually still living and reading what he wrote…the surviving family. “ Your dad was killed by TDS and was a bad guy”. Now there’s a way to comfort the family. Maybe he just gave the killer’s defense a strategy. Blame Dad for the parents being slaughtered.

Reiner and his wife were brutally murdered by their own son. They were found by their 28 year old daughter. They now have 3 children, I’m not counting the pos who murdered them, left to live with this horror. And it is a horror idc what their politics were. Trump could have kept his mouth shut. Instead he made a choice. And it was to make it about him. Read the post. The very thing he is accusing Reiner of, TDS, is exactly what Trump sounds like. Then he doubled down on it the next day with no sense of remorse whatsoever. He has Reiner derangement syndrome. And MTG derangement syndrome, etc. He has an incredibly fragile ego which is concerning when you are the PRESIDENT
