President Donald Trump assailed The New York Times, accusing the paper of "seditious, perhaps even treasonous" behavior as it and other mainstream media outlets circulate "fake" reports suggesting he's slowing down.
"There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me," Trump said in a Tuesday night statement on Truth Social, pushing back on claims about his stamina and sharpness.
He touted what he described as a record of achievements, saying he "stopped Eight Wars," built "the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country," rebuilt the military, delivered the "Largest Tax Cuts and Regulation Cuts, EVER," and "closed our open and very dangerous Southern Border."
Trump also emphasized his medical evaluations, saying he undergoes "long, thorough, and very boring" examinations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and has received "PERFECT Marks."
He added that he has taken a cognitive test on three separate occasions, including one "recently," and that he "ACED all three of them" in front of doctors and experts.
Despite those claims, Trump said The Times and other outlets "like to pretend that I am 'slowing up,'' arguing they know it is untrue.
"I will know when I am 'slowing up,' but it's not now!" he wrote, contending that repeated reports about his health are designed "to libel and demean 'THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.'"
During a Cabinet meeting last week, Trump echoed that theme more directly, telling reporters the press is fixating on his health while it failed to aggressively scrutinize former President Joe Biden's condition when he was in office.
Trump argued that if he goes a single day without a public appearance, "there's something wrong with the president," while Biden, he said, went long stretches without news conferences.

Yeah, he’s slowing down! Yesterday, he delivered a 90-minute campaign-style address.
Why even waste energy responding to what everyone on the planet knows to be false? The same paper that was utterly silent during the brain-dead Biden administration. It’s just another NYT hatchet job.
They’re angry that Biden’s handlers hid his dementia until it could no longer be denied. For some bizarre reason they blame Trump for this (then again, they blame him for everything), but any other candidate running against Biden would’be had to have been blind to not notice and beyond stupid to not point it out to the voters. Now they want to pin the same old age malady on Trump as revenge. Even if he was slowing down, he’s still getting more done than Biden ever did in his entire term, while Trump still hasn’t hit the one year mark.
The left doesn’t like anything Trump does anyway. You’d think they’d be relieved if he took a day off.
The same exact media that kept telling us how competent Biden was, even though it was beyond obvious he had some sort of dementia, couldn’t form a sentence and kept tripping all over the place.

After their performance with respect to Biden how could anyone take them seriously now?
The New York Times and its broadcast twin CBS news forever lost their credibility when they absolutely refused to reporst or investigate the Hunter laptop, Biden’s criminal corruption and did no real journalistic reporting regarding the Biden Administration. They were and remain propaganda platforms. In the case of the NYT, nothing will change until the Salzberger family loses control of the paper.CBS has been sold but Paley entrenched leftist loyalists still control content. It will be essential for the future well being of the American nation to deplatform these two warped institutions.
Trump is definitely NOT slowing down. Just more deflection by media for pushing dipstick biden so long. Trump is correct to push back but the way he is doing it just makes him sound like bitter old biden. On topics like this he should come up with some funny jab at any reporter that ask him about slowing down. That would get tons of positive air time, make him look like a winner and strong. His ego is getting him in trouble again lately. Maybe he cut back on Big Macs? A case of the hangrys? That would do it.
