President Donald Trump fumed about a House Democrat — who he just pardoned — choosing to remain with the party rather than defect to the Republicans.
In a blistering post to Truth Social early Sunday, the president bashed Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) for announcing his intent to run for re-election as a Democrat, despite receiving a pardon from the president. Cuellar was facing charges for allegedly taking over $600,000 in foreign bribes. (The congressman’s wife, Imelda, was also charged in connection with the scheme.)
“Can you imagine???” Trump wrote. “The Democrats, under the Crooked Joe Biden Administration, who always use extreme force and jail-time to destroy their political opponent, wanted to put Congressman Henry Cuellar, and his wife, Imelda, in PRISON, for 15 years, which I predicted these Radical Left Lunatics would do – And they never stopped wanting to fulfill this evil quest! The Dems mercilessly went after Henry with everything they had! They were looking to destroy him, his lovely wife, his two young daughters, and anyone close to them. When the Democrats overwhelmingly lost the 2024 Presidential Election, and power with it, they, regardless, did everything they could to keep going after the Cuellar family. The Dems were vicious, and all because Henry strongly wanted, correctly, BORDER SECURITY!”
The president went on to cite a letter he’d received from Cuellar’s two daughters — who pleaded for a pardon for their parents.
‘It was all very unfair what they were doing to him and his family, so much so that his daughters wrote me a beautiful letter about their parents (Just posted on TRUTH!),” Trump wrote. “After reading it I decided, in the interest of justice, and based on the daughter’s loving request, that I would give Henry and Imelda a Full and Complete Pardon. I never spoke to the Congressman, his wife, or his daughters, but felt very good about fighting for a family that was tormented by very sick and deranged people – They were treated sooo BADLY!”
But Trump quickly changed his tune.
“Only a short time after signing the Pardon, Congressman Henry Cuellar announced that he will be ‘running’ for Congress again, in the Great State of Texas (a State where I received the highest number of votes ever recorded!), as a Democrat, continuing to work with the same Radical Left Scum that just weeks before wanted him and his wife to spend the rest of their lives in Prison – And probably still do!” Trump wrote. “Such a lack of LOYALTY, something that Texas Voters, and Henry’s daughters, will not like. Oh’ well, next time, no more Mr. Nice guy!”
Cuellar, on Wednesday, said “Nothing has changed — I’m a good old conservative Democrat.”

Trump is not a gambler
“It would be an admission of a bribe.”
So what? Literally nothing is going to happen to Trump. Most of these pardons are bribes. It’s how these things are done

If the media spins it people will know it’s a scam. The media is more and more irrelevant to Americans of all walks of life.
Yeah it could have been a gamble. A House seat is pretty high stakes. I think he may have taken a gamble. It is most certainly possible.

Based on his post Trump thought HC acted irrationaly. I submit that Trump is exposing, to anyone who is able to reason, that HC is too deeply corrupt to leave the Democrat party. This will not be the end of the story. Trump did the right thing in both cases, in making a pardo to right prosecutorial misconduct, which brought the Democrat’s actions to widespread attention, and to call out the curious case of HC staying democrat after he & his wife were hounded and framed under orders of that party. The stench is strong and the attention of the County is being focused on that stench. .

Trump has written a few books on his philosophy, background, strategy and education.

Trump takes risks. One does not get ahead in life staying on the sofa hungover fearful of risk taking
He educates himself on the situation, weighs the outcome.
His wailing on social media about this is his educated response to one possible outcome.
People take him at face value. I don’t know if you are a leftist or someone who enjoys being nasty about Trump for another reason, so I’m not talking to you expecting a reasonable response, it’s for stating facts
They think he’s like a regular Joe who in this case gets hurt and feels betrayed
He acts as if he’s lost something. He has not.
There’s a guy who was a retired military officer working for his state office. Of course he had a nice home put his kids through school. Lovely wife. He had a Tupperware sandwich box where he kept his poker money. He’d play once a week with is old military buddies and come home with more or less the same amount in the box
There was another guy big exec Fortune 500 big house nice neighborhood. Big education. Bunch of kids. Lovely wife. Great golfer would bet tens of thousands on a putt. He’d be up all night playing cards. They’d get down to betting away cars and dogs. Lost his house. Family had to move and rent
The first guy is not a gambler. That’s because he’s not putting anything in that he can’t afford to lose. Second guy is a gambler.
Trump is yelling about Cuellar for reasons far removed from asking us for sympathy, he lost something he couldn’t afford.
He can afford it. Besides, Trump never forgets he works for us. He would never bet away what we can’t afford. He will take risks based on what he has learned about a situation. He’ll apply game theory to weigh possible outcomes
Gambling is betting on a chance outcome. A putt you can’t ever be sure about. Even a scratch golfer. You can bet on it but not what you can’t afford. If you do that you’re gambling
Here’s how to know Trump’s not a gambler- he hasn’t risked more than he can afford. An image of Melania comes to mind, on Fifth Avenue putting her collection of fabulous luggage into the back of the SUV to relo to Mara Lago
She’s been married to him decades and she is peaceful, well taken care of. Her child in the best school.
