Hillary Clinton: ‘Abortion bans have killed another woman in Texas’

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that “abortion bans have killed another woman in Texas” in response to a ProPublica report published Wednesday.

Clinton’s comments came in a Wednesday post on the social platform X, which included a link to ProPublica’s story.

According to the outlet, a 37-year-old woman named Tierra Walker had been dealing with health issues during her pregnancy. She faced increasing blood pressure and diabetes and was aware she faced a raised chance of potentially fatal pregnancy complication, according to ProPublica.

In mid-October of last year, Walker decided it was necessary to request an abortion from her doctor because of her health, the outlet reported. However, multiple medical providers said Walker’s pregnancy was fine and there was no emergency, according to information from her family cited by ProPublica. She would later die from a pregnancy complication.

I am guessing abortion bans have killed fewer people than:

1. abortion
2. Hillary Clinton.

Abortion bans didn’t kill anybody, but they saved countless lives.

Here’s an idea - if you don’t want kids, keep your pants on. Or at least take precautions ahead of time. If you don’t, then be responsible.

The article says very little about what actually killed her. Although it said that she died from pregnancy complications, it also says that she decided to have an abortion, and this was not recommended by her doctor or by numerous other doctors.

Therefore, I am left to wonder what she and her baby really died from.

I’ve seen a handful of these stories, and every one so far turned out to be completely different than how the story was presented. Like the story of a Georgia woman who presumably died because she could not get an abortion, but, in reality, she died from having an abortion.

The abortion industry did its best to convince us that pregnant women would be dropping like flies if abortion bans were put into place. This hasn’t happened. The best they’ve been able to come up with is a handful of stories where a pregnant woman died and they tried to blame the death on an abortion ban. Yet the facts never back them up.

I’ll bet anything this woman did not die because abortion is banned in Texas. If a woman is that dead-set on killing a baby, abortion is still legal in neighboring states. Sure, they have to drive a day or so, but about 7,000 women left Texas last year to kill their babies.

https://www.liveaction.org/news/tierra-walker-death-tragic-preventable-prolife-laws

ProPublica, a media outlet backed by pro-abortion groups, is again attempting to blame the tragic death of a pregnant woman who did not receive the care she or her preborn baby deserved on a state’s pro-life laws.

Key Takeaways:

Tierra Walker began suffering from seizures and high blood pressure soon after learning she was pregnant.

Her health and life were both at risk, but doctors told her that once they got her health concerns under control, all would be well.

Once her condition worsened at about 20 weeks, she was hospitalized for monitoring, but was ultimately sent home on medication, even though she likely needed to remain in the hospital until delivery became necessary.

ProPublica falsely claimed that a premature induced delivery is the same as an abortion. It is not. Delivering a baby to save the mother’s life is not an abortion, because the law in Texas, where this situation took place, defines abortion as the intentional killing of the baby. An induced abortion (as defined by ACOG) has the intent of not resulting in a live birth.

Walker seems to have been the latest victim of medical neglect during pregnancy. She did not need an abortion, but she did need monitoring at the hospital, bed rest, and likely even preterm delivey.

To be fair:

Maternal health is abysmal in America right now and TX has in fact been using this law to double down on pregnancy-complication related emergencies that are not abortions but may require things like induced labor etc…

This is why the Pro-Life community can’t just single out abortion itself but the whole of maternal well being, and treatment of pregnant women.

The TX law keeps getting updated with stipulations, but the medical community can’t keep up. 🫤
