It is always good to hear from the Poindexters of this world.
I will try the Rufus + Windows 11 usb "hack" tomorrow. This alters Win 11 so that it no longer demands a Microsoft account to install it. Seems to also allow Win 11 installs on unsupported computers. Details at your favorite AI.
Bump to the top
Thanks very much. I’ll try it :)
Yup, one wrong move and I'm zipped out of my shit. I hate this.
Once you’ve updated it, disconnect it from the net.
I have never purchased from flixeasy. Trust Pilot shows that 12% give them a 1-star rating with 513 total reviews. 5% of https://www.gamers-outlet.net/ give them a 1-star rating with 37,956 total reviews. All of the companies who sell software licenses need to be looked at with a great deal of scrutiny.
I always use a “virtual credit card” or other means of payment which doesn't put your accounts at risk. I do this even with gamers-outlet.net from which I have purchased dozens of licenses over the years and never had any problems.
https://flixeasy.com/ only gives you the option to use a credit/debit card, gamers-outlet.net has over half a dozen payment options. I have never used them so I just cannot speak with any authority as to their safety and legitimacy. Although as a natural born cheapskate I am tempted to give them a try.
Activated fine for me. That’s all it has to do.
The Rufus bypass doesn’t work anymore. The following does work.
To install Windows 11 with a local account, start the installation process and when prompted for an account, press Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt. Then, type oobe\bypassnro and hit Enter to bypass the Microsoft account requirement, allowing you to create a local account instead.
1.No Auto Login (unnecessary hoops to jump through)
2.No Local Accounts (Microsoft killing everything but theirs to track you)
3.Tracking/Spyware (Over 770 'partners' and counting accessing your habits)
4.Recall/Copilot (Their version A.I. pushed hard, soon mandatory)
5.Malware/Viruses (Though Defender is good they're still the hammer's target)
6.Forced Updates (When THEY want, no matter what you were doing)
7.Baked-In Ads (Relentless push to make Edge your browser)
8.No Uninstalling Edge (They claim that destabilizes entire OS)
9.Broken Sleep Function (Again, updates and ads uber alles)
10.Planned Obsolescence (Demands Trusted Platform Module 2.0 chip - proven untrue but problematic)
11.No More Gaming (Win12 plans to chuck mouse and keyboard altogether)
BTW - I used Linux Mint on my 12-year-old laptop who's Win10 got corrupted and LOVED it. I'm just using Win10 on this higher-capacity PC because it came pre-installed on an Amazon refurbished unit. Best deals anywhere and usually BETTER than new for fraction of original cost.
Copilot
“The oobe\bypassnro command is no longer effective for Windows 11 25H2 due to a bug patch by Microsoft.”
it might still work on 24h2 and older ......... I will let know if it works for rufus. there is repository of older versions for win 11 it is uupdump
windows 11 is the ultimate telemetry os. MS got very jealous of the google telemetry banditos. Aneroid is worlds most installed OS.
I am reinstalling Window 11 Pro right now. I will know if it work in a few minute. I did configure Rufus to set up a local account.
Yep. Microsoft's emails kept warning about the "end of support" and offering to extend it for $30 or 1,000 reward points. Those emails never mentioned the button in settings to extend it for free. With one day to go, I clicked the button.
I sill have a Windows 7 and it works just fine. I have kept it because I have all the software I purchased (not subscribed) on it. It does all the basic things I need a computer to do.

let me know......if it does work get win 11 23h2 and try rufus with it
