I have some questions that I want to run by my fellow Freepers, but a little context first.
The man who put a $45,000.00 bounty on Pam Bondi - Tyler Maxon Avalos - was released with no bail though "under strict conditions: a GPS ankle monitor, nightly curfew, restricted internet use, and mandatory mental health treatment. He is barred from possessing firearms or alcohol and cannot leave Minnesota while awaiting trial."
The man who threw a sub sandwich at a Federal LEO, today was found not guilty of a misdemeanor.
I live in Virginia and after Tuesday, I see this state on a fast track in becoming NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, etc. I see lawlessness coming big time in Virginia - in Richmond, the Norfolk area, and the Northern Virginia Metro area.
I am now thinking of moving to Tennessee, My questions - am I running away from the problem? By moving, am I giving up? By moving, am I just making it easier for the lawless Dems to import more criminals in Virginia?

Way things look to be going, you might as well go for the change.
GOP plans on losing mid terms, so it is a toss up on where to settle.
Twenty years ago, I would have said to stay and fight for your state. Now, I believe conservatives should leave blue states while they can and move to a red state in order to help keep red states conservative. Why stay in a blue state and have your taxes support policies that are destructive to your freedom, lifestyle, and beliefs?
I think eventually our country will split into 6 or 7 regions since we are no longer a “united” country.
I don’t see it as bleak as you do. I don’t see any signs of crap here north of CdA. Of course, maybe that’s my perspective from living in the SF Bay area for 50 years.
My folks moved to Downingtown, PA (Chester County west of Phil.) in 1969 when I started college and they lived there for 40 years before passing. Downingtown was a pretty conservative area and very pretty. It was in the news here on FR this morning for having elected a TRANNY to mayor (I think). I was SO stunned to see that happen in my folks’ old town.
I couldn’t be happier.

Texas voters just raised the homestead exemption to $200K for those 65 and older.

Northeast and Central parts of the state are rural, beautiful and strongly conservative. Avoid Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville.
