SANFORD, Fla. - A Florida man who killed his 18-year-old girlfriend and their unborn son after she refused to get an abortion is facing the death penalty.
Donovan Faison, 23, was convicted last week in the first-degree murder of Kaylin Fiengo, of killing an unborn child and of burglary with a firearm. The jury later voted 11-1 to sentence Faison to death, the Office of the State Attorney said in a news release Friday.
Faison shot Fiengo in the head as she sat in her car at Coastline Park in Sanford in 2022. Investigators discovered a bullet casing and an ultrasound image near Fiengo's body.
At trial, prosectors showed messages from their phones that showed Fiengo had texted Faison a photo of two positive pregnancy texts, to which he wrote back, "Abortion!!!"
Faison "erupted" at the news of the pregnancy, feeling "angry" and "pressured" because he was living with another woman at the time who suspected him of cheating, according to prosecutors.
When Fiengo refused to terminate the pregnancy, prosecutors said Faison texted a friend, "On my brothers grave, I’m gonna crop her out."
Further text messages showed Faison then lured Fiengo to a meeting at the park where he shot her dead, prosecutors said.

If it's "hers", let her pay for it - all of it. Florida Man should not be liable for 21 years of support for her choice to keep it.
The argument that he has to pay because he previously made the decision to fornicate, is the same justification for her not to be able to abort a child because she previously made the decision to fornicate.
As for the getting a vasectomy and going to court to prove he's not the father;
1. He may wish to father a child with her at another time, or with another woman.
2. You're wayyyy behind on the information that many jurisdictions can force a man to pay for a child that has been proven not to be his. On a related note, the woman who lied about paternity faces ZERO charges for false statements in court. The State doesn't want her in prison, but instead taking care of the baby, paid for by her victim.
3. Paternity tests are outright illegal in many jurisdictions - because the courts know a whole slew of bastards will become wards of The State.
Even Biden thought abortion was just birth control for rape. And incest.So murder in all forms is Democrat approved.

He was fine with a girlfriend, just not a pregnant one, or at least not her as a pregnant one.
She should have read Benjamin Franklin's "Poor Richard's Almanack": "If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas." - or maybe you don't get up at all.
Maybe the man should have used protection if he didn’t want his girlfriend to get pregnant. He could have just walked away also. White women hook up with black men....??

Hopefully he will get to ride the lightening bolt or the needle. But I have no confidence that he will do either. Like James White, I have lost all faith in the Criminal Justice System. If and it is a very big if, he goes to prison for over 90 days, it is about all one can hope for.
