Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., reportedly will not seek reelection in 2026 as Democrats are preparing for Pelosi's retirement from Congress.
The retirement plans are expected to be announced after Tuesday's elections, multiple party sources told NBC News.
Pelosi, 85, spent two stints as speaker, which would end nearly 40 years representing her San Francisco district.

Put aside the politics and liberal vs. conservative issues. 85 years old. Let that sink in. Who else “works” at 85 years old? There are elderly Republicans who should be gone too. There are rare exceptions but in Congress, its the rule. Why? Because Congress is a grift.

For her sake, I hope she spends most of her remaining days in the confessional. Maybe even enter a convent—a real strict one like the Discalced Carmelites. She’s got a lot to atone for, including 40 years of sacrilegious communions while all the time promoting and facilitating the murder of innocent pre-born human lives.
Her next stop should be a hole in the ground.
