We stopped in Vancouver on a cruise ship a few years ago. We walked around town and saw a lot of drug addicts. Vancouver has safe places where you can go ahead and inject yourself. They even had receptacles for disposing syringes.

Some drugs, e.g. the fentanyl synthetic opiates are so debilitating, addictive, and hazardous to even handle, that they belong in a category by themselves akin to military nerve agents, and should be classified as such, and that a nation/state providing them as a matter of policy is committing an act of war.
Only low IQ inbred fools could possibly believe drug legalization is a) harmless and/or b) beneficial.
I loathe those people. Libertarians are the worst.

I lived and worked in Vancouver 1982 to 1985. It was magical! Clean. Safe. A bustling business district and city center. Vibrant neighborhoods. A great blend of cultures.
The last time I went back, 2010, I swore to never return. It was even then a pit!!!! The end of magic.
We were living in Vancouver for 18 months on a project in about 1998/9 when this all started. It is sickening. And, very sad.

I live in the far NW corner of Washington State, just a few miles from Vancouver. We used to go there all the time for dinner, but not anymore. It’s a crime ridden cesspool.
