While appointed for 4 years, it’s my understanding that U.S. Attorneys can be removed by the President at any time and for any reason, as they serve at the pleasure of the President. Maurene Comey doesn’t have a leg to stand on, given all the precedents, but I love seeing them spend money on cases they’re probably going to lose, as long as taxpayers aren’t paying for their lawyers.

It’s a question of fact whether a statutory rape has taken place and I thought that ignorance of the age of the female was not usually a sufficient defense. When there are repeated occasions of “doing” a 15 year-old, it isn’t an accident. Is there a nation-wide age for statutory rape and is it 16? Shame on Megyn.
